Great Holiday
This really is an excellent hotel which I can highly recommend. We've been to Antigua several times and always stayed at one of the Verandah's sister hotels, the St James Club. Whilst the St James Club is good, The Verandah is definitely better. For a start the grounds are bigger and extremely well maintained; the rooms are spacious and well equipped and the facilities are all to a high standard. The rooms are serviced every day, although the Housekeeping department must have thought we were only staying for ten days not twelve because the room wasn't serviced on our last two days. There are several restaurants to choose from and the food is good at all of them. Plenty of variety and very well presented. For three of the restaurants you need to book but this is not a problem and whilst we were there we had no trouble getting a table at a time to suit us. There are two beaches to choose from, Rasta Beach which is near reception and Lover's Beach at the other end of the resort. Rasta beach has a swimming pool and a beach bar serving food at lunch time and is probably a little quieter than Lover's Beach. It also has better (newer?) sunbeds. Lover's beach is bigger and has a bar and water sports. No food, but the Pizza restaurant and Sails and Tails are only a short distance away. Something to note is the fact that the resort is quite hilly. Our room was almost at the highest point and was close to the main bar, the Pub and the buffet restaurant . Very convenient for our needs but it meant a bit of a walk down to the beaches. Very pleasant on the way down but a bit of a slog on the way back. However the hotel is obviously aware of this and provides a "bus" service that runs throughout the day and well into the evening. It consists of large golf buggy type vehicles permanently travelling round the resort and whilst there are designated "Bus Stops" the drivers will pick you up and drop you off at any point. We had a great holiday and would like to thank all of the staff who made our stay so enjoyable. I'm sure we'll be back.

The Verandah
Beautiful place. Good food. Traveling between accommodations, meals and activities can be a little challenging. Having to wait for shuttles, but worth the wait. Service was good, especially at the restaurants when being served by Theodore. He was amazing and elevated our experience at The Verandah from good to “Excellent “. Also the driver Shemar was amazing and extremely informative.

Wonderful experience
We found the resort to be beautiful, clean, comfortable. The service was excellent and the food was great. We loved Lover's beach and the Main pool. Shout out to exceptional employees Rosette, Theo, Marina, Keisha, Olvis and Mikton- restaurant Jensen and Aquez beach attendants. These servers went the extra mile in friendliness and service.
