  Some good, some bad

  Overall we had a good stay at Marriott Beach Resort. The staff was incredibly accommodating. Service was great. The food and drinks were great. The resort common areas are well maintained. The bed was comfortable and the linens were luxurious. There were always plenty of beach/pool towels and there are tons of pool lounge chairs. As long as we got down to the pool by 11am, we were always able to find 4 chairs together in good spots! I have some criticisms, The room (472) needs some MAJOR TLC. There is an overpowering mold smell coming from the refrigerator area. The tile/grout is filthy dirty. I mean, BLACK. I did not want to be barefoot in the hotel room. I totally understand that the resort is busy, but you cannot tell me that the rooms are booked solid year round. They could absolutely have a crew that did a deep clean on the floors periodically to help with the flooring and some good overall dusting and wiping things down very well. In the bathroom, there was something nasty spilled on the wall by the trash can prior to our stay, and it was NEVER cleaned. Right before we departed I took a wash cloth with a little soap to see if the "spill" was a stain or actual spill. It wiped off with some effort....so, that was totally gross and disgusting. There was also surface mold coming through the paint on the wall. The door jamb in the bathroom, (on the floor), was also completely rusted and dirty. I really feel for the price point of the hotel that this is not acceptable. Also, my son stayed in a different room and the people staying next door to them smoked weed the entire stay, constantly. The smell was overpowering in their room. After the 5th day they complained to security and nothing was done. Upon checking out we told the desk again and told them it was not okay and the people should have been reprimanded. So NOT cool Marriott! The chairs on the balcony were cheap plastic and very uncomfortable. Housekeeping never cleaned our windows and they were milky dirty. You could barely see out of them! I also noticed that whoever cleans the pool area at the end of the day(or morning) miss A LOT of trash.

  great beach and pool area when you are on a cruise ship but i am sure it would be a great hotel room too

  Truly Amazing From the first second we arrived!

  From the moment we arrived until the day we left, we had a fantastic stay at the St. Kitts Marriott. We stayed with family in a spacious two‑bedroom villa with an unreal view. The pool was right at the bottom of our stairs, and the main pool with its pool bar was just a quick walk away, making it super convenient and relaxing. Our room was super clean when we arrived, have to arrange for paid regular housekeeping however. Pool area was super clean and depending on the crowd was noisy one day and quiet the next either way plenty of space. We enjoyed breakfast at the main restaurant, where the buffet offered a great variety of options, including fresh omelets. We also dined twice at the steak restaurant, and both the food AND service were outstanding. For quick bites, the lobby takeaway had excellent breakfast sandwiches, (it did have long lines in the morning so be prepared) and the pizzeria was another great spot for fast take away. And the ice cream shop absolutely amazing! Inside the main building you can also find stores and shops super cool!! We 100% loved Teshanie, the bartender at the pool bar she was wonderful! She found out it was my birthday and went out of her way to make me feel extra special, which truly meant a lot. The resort’s location is another huge plus. It’s close to everything you might need. There’s a convenience store called Rams (only wish they had a frequent shopper card LOL) just a three‑minute walk away that sells liquor and food items. Just down the road are several fantastic local restaurants definitely try as many as you can! We loved breakfast at Coconut Grove (yum!) and found a great local pub called Shiggidy Shack with an awesome vibe. If you don’t have a car, the hotel’s taxi service is excellent and will take you anywhere you want to go. We also visited the rum factory nearby, which is a must see and taste! I will 100% go back - great price for what we had in space, guest services and things to do!

  Great location! Lovely pool! Restaurant a bit pricy, but there are many options across the road.

  Making progress

  Making progress. Getting better and fixing things. New lobby furniture and balcony furniture. Staff more responsive. Three people stood out. Vashney at the deli went back to the kitchen to get me an orange when they were out of them at the counter. Both Shankar and Shaquille at the lobby bar were outstanding,always a smile and warm welcome. Staff seems happy. All the breakfast staff were responsive and learned our names. Now,if they can get the showers to not stop in the middle of the shower and figure out how to effectively communicate with housekeeping about when the guests would like housekeeping to come I.e. when they are out of the room this resort could really move up.
