  Perfect 20th anniversary getaway at Secrets Cap Cana

  My husband and I recently celebrated our 20th anniversary at Secrets Cap Cana, and we had a wonderful experience overall. A special thank you to our butler, Alexis, who was absolutely amazing. He made our stay easy, enjoyable, and stress-free by helping with restaurant reservations and ensuring every detail was taken care of. He truly helped make our anniversary memorable. We would highly recommend Alexis to anyone staying at the resort and will definitely request him again on a future visit. The food at every restaurant we visited was excellent, and the staff throughout the resort were incredibly attentive and friendly. We also thoroughly enjoyed the nightly shows and entertainment. Jon Sena from the entertainment team at the main pool was especially fun, energetic, and engaging—he really helped create a great atmosphere. Although the room category we originally booked was not available at check-in, the management team listened to our concerns and ultimately accommodated us in the room we had selected. We appreciated their efforts to make things right. We highly recommend upgrading to the Preferred Club. The exclusive pool, premium liquor selections, and outstanding butler service were well worth it and enhanced our overall experience. The only downside was the seaweed on the beach, but that's something the resort cannot control and did not take away from our enjoyment of the property. Overall, Secrets Cap Cana is a beautiful resort with exceptional service, great dining, and excellent entertainment. We would absolutely recommend it and look forward to returning in the future.

  Great Honeymoon Experience!

  We came here for our honeymoon and it was wonderful! A special shoutout to our butler, Jeison Calderon. He went above and beyond. Not only did he find a way to get us Gatorade and ginger ale at 7 am when my husband felt bad, but he also constantly checked in on him to make sure everything was okay. I would come back solely just because of my experience with him! The resort was beautiful and the food was amazing. We truly had the best time! Thank you, Jeison, for everything!

  Perfect for Senior Trip Groups!!!!

  There were 18 in our group!!! 6 high school graduates (boys) and (6) sets of parents!!! The resort was perfect for entertaining everyone but what made it so much better was our butler -Josue . He somehow managed all of us for three days. Had chairs reserved for all of us 3 days in a row. He also worked very hard too get us all the dinner reservations. I mean basically anything we needed the entire time was taken care of!!!!!!

  Pure Magic at Cap Cana! Authentic Care, Impeccable Vibes, and an Unforgettable Staff🩵🤍

  Our group of four just returned from a week-long stay at Secrets Cap Cana, and we are still floating! Throughout our entire trip, we kept remarking to each other about the genuine warmth, authentic care, and fun atmosphere that defines this resort. The property itself is beautiful, clean, and boasts absolutely impeccable amenities, but what truly makes this place a paradise is its extraordinary staff. We can personally name so many team members who made our stay unforgettable, but a few absolute rockstars deserve a special shoutout: * **Genfry (Our Concierge):** Genfry is an absolute gem. He checked in on us daily with humorous and inspiring quotes, kept us updated on all the resort activities, and personally handled every restaurant request or question we had. He went completely above and beyond by setting up a stunning, romantic flower petal decoration for my in-laws' anniversary—without us even asking! That is what you call mind-reading, world-class service. * **"Mr. Solution" Rigoberto:** Whenever we needed extra shade or fresh towels by the beach or pool, Rigoberto made it happen instantly. He earned his nickname every single day! * **Luisa (Seaside Restaurant):** Luisa was amazing. She made sure our fresh food was cooked perfectly to order, and she even went out of her way to ensure we had extra food packed up and ready for us. The food at Seaside is already exquisite, but her care made it a standout experience. * **"La Diva" & "Mini Mi" (Entertainment):** The entertainment team brings the absolute best energy. "La Diva," the entertainment coordinator, was pure joy, always making sure we knew about the live music events. And the pool workouts led by "Mini Mi" were a highlight—he brings that infectious, high-octane "Kevin Hart energy" that keeps everyone laughing and moving. * **Judith (Poolside Service):** We never—not once—did not have an ice-cold beer in hand, all thanks to Judith's incredible, attentive service by the pool. We would absolutely come back because of the pure beauty and relaxation this property offers, but without a doubt, we fell completely in love with the Dominican hospitality and culture. It is truly on another level here. Thank you to everyone at Secrets Cap Cana for a phenomenal week!

  Just Okay

  Overall, our group of 6 had a great time, but the resort itself wasn't as wonderful as I anticipated based on all the reviews I read. Location: Great! A quick 15-20 min ride from the airport, very easy transport Food: Our biggest complaint. Everything we had during our stay was so lackluster. I know people complain about the portion sizes at all inclusives, but the quality of the food here leaves much to be desired. Every meal was essentially like food you'd have on a bad cruise - colder than it should be, not fresh, and thrown on plate. We ordered lunch at the pool one day - it took 40 min to arrive, and every item was cold to the touch. I understand that at a large resort food preparation can be tricky, but we were pretty disappointed every day. That being said, the service at every restaurant was great and everyone was very friendly and helpful. Atmosphere: Pretty good! Great views and vistas, but at the same time, some places felt and looked like we were at a theme park. For an example, the self serve pizza station by a pool didn't do much to complete the Island Paradise feel and felt out of place at a 5-star resort. Some places and bars by the beach looked a little run down and need of sprucing and repair. Rooms: Pretty good, although our room smelled quite musty and damp every single day. I know it's a battle with humidity in a tropical climate, but the musty/moldy smell was hard to ignore, but it didn't ruin our stay. Again, for a 5-star resort, our lodging didn't really feel luxe at all. The illusion was there, but it was a little run down. Everything was fine - which again, isn't bad, but not what I was expecting. Noise Level: No complaints. The pool can get a little loud with the music, but that's to be expected
