  Just absolutely incredible!!

  Because of some personal issues, it’s taken a bit to get around to, but I wanted to recap our stay at the Royalton Antigua at the beginning of February. We travel lot and have stayed in everything from small boutique hotels to large resorts, so we notice the details. Royalton Antigua got the basics right and added thoughtful touches that made our stay luxurious, easy and enjoyable. The room was extremely nice with a very comfortable mattress and blackout curtains that were actually effective, which may not seem like a big deal, after long days it’s nice to have the option to sleep in (which in our case we rarely did because we enjoyed the resort that much). The balcony offered a lovely view and was the perfect spot to enjoy the morning sun or a quiet evening before going out. Housekeeping was efficient and respectful, keeping everything tidy without being intrusive. The food was consistently very good. The buffet offered a diverse spread of familiar dishes and local dishes, while the a‑la‑carte restaurants provided a great dining experience with lots of little options. From a steakhouse to a Caribbean themed restaurant to one of the best espresso cafés I’ve ever been in (with incredible gelato ), Each restaurant featured a diverse menu. My wife particularly enjoyed the fresh local fish, served with delicious vegetables and I certainly didn’t think I was going to get the quality steak I did. The Italian restaurant which was on the water had nearly too many options to choose from and also served as an ala carte breakfast option, where you could eat with the most stunning of view. The chef’s creative twists on classic recipes added to every dish, making each meal an enjoyable experience. The bar produced several genuinely awesome drinks and always had suggestions for more. Public spaces were immaculately kept and absolutely beautiful. The beach is stunning, the pool area/ is extremely comfortable with lots of seating and umbrellas and there are private cabanas that you can book that are absolutely worth it. If you like to work out on vacation, the gym is amazing. It’s clean with a wide variety of equipment/machines, including bumper plates and dumbbells that went up to 100lbs. That is definitely not resort gym norm. Activities and evening entertainment fit the mood of the resort and was an awesome addition; the dance team, in particular, was incredible. One evening’s Michael Jackson tribute featured a performer who not only looked uncannily like Jackson but had the mannerisms and moves down so precisely it was astonishing, it literally felt like I was watching Michael Jackson in person; just one small example of how the resort goes above and beyond. Service was the standout. The staff were consistently poised, capable, and quietly attentive, and after a day or two it genuinely felt like visiting friends rather than staying at a hotel. Reception handled arrival and departure with ease and gave sensible, tailored recommendations for beaches and nearby spots. Housekeeping anticipated what we’d want ( like extra towels) and left the room arranged in a way that made it feel lived‑in, not staged. In the restaurants, hosts managed the flow so evenings felt relaxed; servers noted our preferences and suggested pairings that genuinely improved the meal. When we were at the Italian restaurant, I couldn’t make up my mind between two dishes, so the server decided to bring portions of both so I didn’t miss out. An example, examples like that are not uncommon. Bartenders remembered our favorite dribks and, by the second night, were mixing small variations that became our go‑to drinks. Spa and activity teams were clear and professional , and polite follow‑ups. My wife absolutely loved her morning at the spa. The whole team combined courtesy with real competence in a way that made us feel looked after, welcomed, and at ease. A couple of staff deserve special mention. Anya, a server on the beach, made it her mission to make us happy—always bright, genuinely kind, and utterly without expectation of anything in return. When we were rushing to leave, she literally tracked us down to give a goodbye hug and a “special goodbye” drink; it was one of those small, sincere moments you don’t forget. Vernessa, our liaison, was nothing short of amazing. I started coordinating with her three weeks before our stay to plan my wife’s birthday, and she took care of everything and so absolutely thoughtfully. She decorated the room so beautifully and even including a birthday card featuring a photo of our dog with a note “from him.” She made all our reservations so we could fully enjoy ourselves, without having to worry about any logistical stuff. Throughout our stay, Vernessa was incredibly attentive, constantly checking in to see if we had everything we needed, resolving any little issues, and genuinely asking if there was anything else she could do for us. She booked us a cabana and set up a romantic dinner on the beach which was unreal. It sounds cliché, but it was really a magical night. Her kindness and thoughtfulness made our celebration feel extra special. I seriously do not have enough superlatives to describe her. She’s really that great. In short: Royalton Antigua is precisely the sort of place we’d return to. Absolutely beautiful location and facilities, comfortable rooms,incredibly excellent service, and great food. It’s everything you need for a very good holiday, with staff who make it effortless.

  Amazing experience

  We had an amazing time at the Royalton Antigua. I was worried due to recent negative reviews, but these worries didn’t come into fruition. The location is a paradise- crystal clear waters, beautiful sands and views. You can see turtles if you come down to the beach about 6am. It’s breath taking. The staff generally go out their way to be accommodating and friendly. For example, one of our children was poorly and they asked after her the next day/ remembered her name. Also, they put on a tea party for us coming from the UK and made us feel at home. They would often ask how we were and were prompt with any issues. The housekeeping staff were extremely friendly and left little notes for us ( Cellina) to say she hoped we were having a good time. Housekeeping staff kept the room very tidy and clean. My daughter would leave her a note back and Cellina would write back - we will keep these little cute notes. It’s the little touches like this that felt personal. They changed my mother’s room so she was closer to us as well. The pools were spacious and never felt too cramped . I didn’t use diamond club and that didn’t appear to be an issue. There were occasional waits, but you have to remember you are on holiday and get out of the mentality of rushing around. The evening entertainment was great and the troup of dancers were very talented. The waitresses and waiters were friendly, helpful and accommodating. The food was good- lots of selection. I heard some guests complaining about some of the food being too spicy , but in my mind, we have to remember we are in the Caribbean and it won’t taste how it is at home. I think we need to adapt to the Caribbean culture . I would say this was one of my best holidays and I would not hesitate to return - I will miss this holiday greatly .

  Beautiful all inclusive resort but understaffed.

  Beautiful infastructure but very poorly managed! Went during spring break, and they were obviously way understaffed. Line out the door with complaining guests at times at Diamond Club reception area. Paid in advance for a connecting room and was lied to that there were no connecting rooms and it was given to another guest. That being said a Diamond Club butler named Beverly went over and beyond to make things right, she was amazing and should seriously be hired as their manager. She actually cared about guests experiences. She was always ready to help with a smile, she was amazing!!!!!

  Great beach and good food.

  Today is day 8 of our 14 day stay. After getting through the check-in process and got settled in our experience has been excellent. The staff have gone above and beyond to make sure we have a great holiday. I know that there have been some negative reviews in the past and yes, they do have some problems with the staff at check-in and room assignments, But I’m confident that these issues will be addressed and rectified very soon. The property is great for families , the food is delicious and bar service on the beach is great especially Casford. His energy and positive attitude makes our day. The beach is beautiful, soft sand , clear water and no seaweed.

  Beautiful place

  I am here now just I have been to the Negril one too this place is special,people very friendly beach and pool area amazing food here is good the atmosphere and our room is great we did not get ocean view and the way I look at this way you do want to spend to much time in your room so much to see that to me is not a priority I Iwould come back adding to this went to the hunter steakhouse and instead.of ordering medium we ordered medium rare and it.a little under cooked.for so we kindly asked to put it under the grill a little longer instead of tha they gave us a new one. We never thought about again,then this afternoon we came back to our room and I noticed a fruit plate with a note apologizing about the steaks very awsome ❤️
