Food was very good. Actually impressive! We ate at the steak house once. Service was great. Asian was ok. Buffet was always amazing, so many choices. The breakfast buffet was insanely busy. Not a wide range of snack items around. Pools and beach amazing and warm. Lots of places to get out of the sun. We had the suite room on the 7th floor. Don't book expecting to use the jetted tub, the water trickled out, complained, nothing happened, plus there was no way to use the soap as it was attached to the wall in the shower, and there was so much grit in the bath, gross! Very dark in the shower as the lighting was poor. Did not go to any of the entertainment shows as it started at 930pm. Be careful on the stairs that go to the restaurants. Slippery, no hand rails, LOTS of stairs going up and down. Very difficult walking them. Never saw an elevator to get down there. I will not return there because of the difficulty walking those stairs, and the EXTREMELY long waiting times standing in line to check in. No water standing in the heat, and no breeze or fan, it was 430 and our room was not even ready!

Excellent value! Great beach, great amenities, fantastic service.
The only downfall we found with this property was that they do not permit reservations for the a la carte restaurants. Their process is that the guests stand in line and wait for the restaurant to open (6pm) and then in such order can place themselves on a reservation list. But, they fill up quickly and even after standing in line for the opening of 6pm the only times we were offered were after 9pm.

Pleasantly surprised
I was impressed with our room. They were spacious, clean, and comfortable. Service everywhere was impressive. It’s a bit of a jaunt from PVR… about $25cdn for an Uber. The place is shaped in a “U” with live (loud) entertainment that goes until 11pm each night. If you’ve got young kids or enjoy an early night ensure you get a room on the back side. The buffet was adequate.. you can’t make a reservation at the a la cartes which was a pain but I’m sure they’ve got a reason… one more tip… the hotel states you can’t save chairs by the pool… if you save a chair with a towel they’ll take the towel. Well… They don’t. I sat by the pool most afternoons surrounded by “saved” chairs and rarely saw anyone come or go from them. If you want a place by the pool you’ll need to join the rest of the selfish a**holes and throw your towel over it.

Had an amazing time staying at this hotel
It was my first time staying at this RIU hotel. I loved all the different various forms of art that was presented in the lobby, going up to the room, in the buffet area.
