  Fun

  Amazing, great service, would come again. Also great food. Everyone was helpful and nice. I also felt very safe

  Best Stay

  Enjoyed our stay at Riu Santa Fe in Cabo. Has many fun amenities and amazing customer service. You really have no need to leave the resort because of their many activities. The resort is only located ten minutes away from the downtown area of Cabo San Lucas.

  Coming back in 2027

  The Riu was an excellent experience. Besides the clean location and clean pool the STAFF was amazing. So helpful and very professional and accommodating. I will be returning and will bring more people with me. Highly recommend.

  Just alright

  I really wanted to like this resort . Despite the negative reviews I chose to book anyway and form my own opinion of the property. First off, booking direct through riu you get complimentary shuttle . It was a bit of a wait when we arrived but I think it was due to our flight coming in later due to a delay. The shuttle back to the airport was on time though. check in was great. Stood in the riu class line which went quicker . Room was ready when we arrived at about 1pm since I did the online check in a week prior . They set us us with our wristbands and sent us on our way . We stayed in villa 3 which was closer to restaurants and a little ways away from the pool parties . This worked out since we had 3 children with us . Okay so starting with the room. We were forced to go with the joined room option since we had a 3 children. I know it was for safety reasons but it didn’t make too much sense since we had an 11 ,2 and 7 month old with us. We were expecting rooms to be connected but they were just shared hallways . The main door opened up to two doors which essentially made both rooms separate . We had to lock the main door and prop both doors open all night because we did not feel comfortable leaving all children locked away from us . Rooms felt dirty because of the floors being tile , which is not much fault of the property’s . Housekeeping did clean rooms every night but mini bar was not stocked at all during our stay. I had to call front desk to send water to the room. The mosquitos were horrible . We all left with over 10 bug bites on our bodies . The air conditioning wasn’t the greatest but it did cool us off and the fan was a big help too. We did not use the alcohol supplied in room because we just didn’t feel comfortable drinking it . One of the rooms had two double beds pushed together and I ended up sleeping in the crack of the beds all 4 nights we stayed . With that being said , I got little to no sleep. Also , even though we were a little ways away from the pool parties , it still kept us up . The loud bass of the party went well into 1am . I get it , it’s vacation but a lot of us were there with small children who clearly need some kind of bedtime . On to the pools. The pool right outside our room was convenient but we spent all our stay at the pool near the beach front . It was extremely windy during our stay so we braved the wind at that pool area to enjoy the views . The swim up bars had very sugary drinks and little to no alcohol. I ended up getting sick from all the sugar since I kept ordering drinks in hope of having some kind of buzz. I tipped every single time and still was not given any kind of stronger drinks. I ended up ordering additional shots with each drink to finally get a buzz going . The bar tenders were not very polite . I tired to kill them with kindness still. On to restaurants . We didn’t try any of the themed restaurants because we didn’t come too prepared for the dress code . Because of that , we were stuck eating at buffets every day and snack bars . On that note, we are far from picky eaters. The food was horrible . Breakfast was decent and probably the only meal we actually were able to get full off of . Omelets every morning though. It was very hard to find any food for lunch and dinner . Options were big but nothing was appealing . I needed up eating the same exact thing every single day of the stay. Thankfully we only stayed 3 nights because I don’t think we could’ve survived another night of it. On another note , The hotel did have some nice staff here and there . The resort was big so a lot of walking took place during our trip as well but , i don’t think we would ever return. The property was nice and the views from the pools were great but if we can’t eat during our stay or have some good drinks , it’s just a waste of money. Im kind of struggling with believing the recent positive reviews because our experience does not align with them. If you’re on a budget and plan on eating in the themed restaurants or even off site , then I say book for the stay and pools. If you plan to strictly stay on the property like we did , I don’t recommend

  Great Stay for the second time.

  Great stay again at a great resort and credit goes to the staff - Monica, Hilario, Avalena, Sintia, Alma, Bishop, Miguel, Yessenia. This was my second time Monica and Hilario I would mainly come back to RIU Stanta Fe again to meet the staff.
