Other hotels in the area may be cheaper but this hotel is definitely worth the cost which for what you get is really not that high. Was there three nights at the end of May 2026. The hotel is modern and attractive. The breakfast buffet rivals anything you'll find on a cruise ship and the location is fantastic. Two blocks from Hamilton or Wicked, three from Victoria Station which was very convenient as we were taking the train to Southampton to meet our cruise ship. Hop-on hop-off bus close by as well. Also walkable to Buckingham Palace and even Harrod's if you want to walk a little further which we did. Staff was great and though we got there at about noon our room was ready. Staff at check in were terrific. Would never hesitate to stay again. One of the best hotels I've ever stayed at.

Lovely stay at the Riu Plaza Victoria
Lovely Hotel very conveniently situated with easy access to central areas and underground. Very nice staff at reception who kindly allowed us to check in early which was much appreciated after an early start. Very comfortable room and bathroom and extremely quiet. Breakfast was fantastic, fresh fruit, cereals, cooked items, pastries, all of a high quality. We could also leave our cases while we were sightseeing on check out day. Highly recommended and would say again.

Room wasn’t ready until after 3 but check in is at 3 ? All staff rude check in just shouted passport with hand out we’ve upgraded your room to one with a view but that’s the room we booked anyway ! Breakfast staff just said room number ! Had to find own table and figure it for ourselves. Shame really as we had an excellent holiday at Riu Tenerife so we thought Riu in the uk would be our new go to but we’ll stick to Hilton’s with friendly staff.

Looks Luxurious, Delivers a 2-Star Experience
I travel regularly and review hotels as part of my work, and unfortunately this was a very disappointing stay. Although I paid for an upgraded room, no complimentary water was provided. When I called guest services, I was told to go to the bar or even to Sainsbury's to buy my own water. I found that quite shocking. Before booking, I was assured that my dietary requirements could be catered for, but when I arrived nothing had been arranged. I was even refused a simple fried egg because of "hotel policy". The buffet was also very average, with bland, mass-produced food that lacked flavour. The hotel looks luxurious, but the service does not match the image. Housekeeping repeatedly knocked on my door before the 12pm checkout, which was frustrating. The only real positive was that the room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Overall, despite its appearance, I would rate this as a 2-star experience. I will not be returning.

Great Hotel in a great location.
Great hotel with all essential amenities, great location close to transportation, clean rooms, great breakfast, small gym and a very pleasant staff.
