  Nice Hotel

  Beautiful hotel in Beautiful location. Rooms need some improvement on AC and bathrooms . Everything else around the property and service was excellent

  Front Desk Worker Santiago Worst

  He had the worst attitude and customer service ruined the end of my stay!!! Food was great in buffet area Room smelled just like pee the entire time in bathroom they keep a toilet brush cleaner in the bathroom, but it’s not empty out daily so it smells bad. The sheets on the bed smell like pee on arrival I had to get someone to change the sheets.

  Nice hotel, friendly staff

  Evening entertainment we found it boring, was expecting more of DR culture in it, than duets singing the "walking to the moon". Great pool for babies. Overall, really nice stay for families.

  DONT MAKE THIS YOUR STAY!

  I have stayed at this resort 2–3 times before and always had a decent experience, which is why I was surprised and disappointed by my most recent stay. The biggest issue was the cleanliness of the rooms. Several rooms in our group had clogged sinks, dirty toilets that had clearly not been cleaned properly, eyelashes left on the bedding and even on the walls, and bathrooms that were missing basic amenities such as hand soap and lotion. The overall condition of the rooms did not reflect the standards I would expect from a resort. Another major disappointment was our experience at Luigi, the Italian restaurant. Upon checking into the resort, we were told that reservations were not required and that guests could simply walk in to dine. However, when we arrived at the restaurant, we were told we needed to come back at 6:00 p.m. to put our names on a list. We followed those instructions, even leaving a pool party to return at the designated time, only to be told again that we could not make a reservation. The staff member managing the restaurant entrance, Thomas, was extremely rude and unprofessional throughout the entire interaction. His tone was aggressive, dismissive, and disrespectful. At one point, he even told us that his name was Thomas and that we could report him to a supervisor if we wanted. While I did speak with a supervisor, the issue was never truly addressed, and we were simply offered reservations at a different restaurant that we had no interest in visiting. What made the situation even more frustrating was the inconsistency in the information being provided. We were repeatedly told different things by different people, making what should have been a simple dining experience unnecessarily stressful. In the end, we felt forced to eat at 6:00 p.m. because we were never given the opportunity to put our name down for a later time. I do want to recognize the buffet staff, many of whom were friendly, welcoming, and provided excellent service throughout our stay. A few employees even remembered us from previous visits and greeted us warmly every day. Their hospitality stood out so much that I personally gave gifts to two of the buffet employees as a token of appreciation for how outstanding they were. They truly made us feel valued and were one of the few highlights of this trip. Unfortunately, the poor room conditions and the experience at Luigi overshadowed the positive interactions we had elsewhere on the property. We traveled as a group of eight people. Three of us had visited this resort before, but after this experience, the other five have said they would not return, and neither will I. I hope management takes these concerns seriously. This resort has the potential to provide a great experience, but significant improvements are needed in housekeeping standards, communication, and customer service. Unfortunately, this was the worst experience I have had here, and it has changed my opinion of a resort that I once enjoyed visiting.

  Good to be back

  Recently returned from a week here, and would definitely go back in a heartbeat. My last visit to this hotel was September 24, and must say my week here this time was much better. Check in was extremely quick, and I was greeted with very friendly helpful faces. Room was perfect with lovely views of the fountains. There was a much more lively atmosphere around the complex than last time, and it was good and definately got you in the holiday mood quickly. Anyone who complains about no choice of food, well I really dont know what they eat at home because the food choice is Huge, I ate lunch in the steakhouse, there was always loads of choice but I did always end up in the Mexican corner because every day the food was delicious. Make sure you visit the toilets next to this restaurant b4 3 each day, kept immaculately clean and the ladies do a different towel art each day. Mini bar in your room with 4 spirits, fridge topped up with water, coke, fanta, sprite, beer, coffee machine - but if your a tea drinker just run water through it, and get some tbags and milk from the sports bar - open 24hrs each day, also rooms have iron and ironing board in wardrobe. Entertainment is brilliant, went to all 4 parties which are just Brilliant fun - 2 afternoon and 2 evening - could do with more posters around the complex because if you've not been here before I'm sure some people dont even know about them - but out of main door and left for less than 10 minutes walk - just follow the music, and ladies I wouldn't wear heels, even if you dont go in the pools it can be very wet floor and slippy, parties are Jungle, Pink, Neon and White . The beach is quite outstanding, turquoise very warm water, it is a dream to be in each day. Try to catch a sunrise - it is an early get up, but definitely worth it, followed by a swim in the sea - the most perfect start to the day. Everyone is friendly who works at the hotel, and its a fabulous hotel to meet loads of different nationalities, I even chatted to people from Peru this visit - and if your on your own, dont worry its definitely an easy place to visit on your own. There are shops between this hotel and the Riu Bambu next door which are worth a visit, and you can call at Bambu for drinks and eat lunch there but evening meal has to be at the Palace. Also for souvenirs the beach sellars sell some lovely things, a polite no and they will carry on along the beach but these people deserve the business, they walk every day with some very heavy baskets etc which really weigh so much, and in that extreme heat, not sure how they do it. Definitely pack minimum factor 30 - and plenty of it, even if it is cloudy you will get burnt here. A huge thank you to everyone at the hotel, and I would 100% recommend booking here, definitely ignore the negative reviews, because my 2nd visit didn't disappoint at all.
