This is our second time staying at the Riu Kukulkan. This is now our favorite Riu resort. Both times we were Elite Club which in my opinion is worth the extra money. The Elite Club gives access to the private Elite Club pool with cabanas, the private dining room, your own breakfast area where you can order from a menu or go the buffet and finally you can make dinner reservations for all the restaurants. We stayed in one of the suites; the room is big, beautiful with a huge balcony overlooking the pools along with a beautiful view of the Caribbean. It doesn't get much better than that. The property is immaculate, inside and out. The staff is warm and welcoming and super friendly. The food was good and never had an issue with the quality of the food or the service. As I've said in other posts if you cannot find something to eat then you must be one picky eater. I thought the hamburgers at Pepe's were amazing for an afternoon snack. The drinks were good and each night they had a specialty drink cart in the lobby bar. The Lobby Bar can get loud during the dinner hour because people are waiting for their dinner reservation. The lounge bar offered good drinks and the outside patio is a nice place to smoke a cigar if you choose. We like this resort so much that we've booked a trip in November with our entire family. The only con I have is that the bars do not have coke products for mixers. The have Pepsi products which I find to be to sweet. I understand they have a contract with Pepsi but I tend to dump the drinks that come with Pepsi or I do not order drinks that call for Coke.

Least favorite of all RIU’s. Resort is nice but horrible front desk and pool service. The pool bar in Cabo offers tacos and this one only had dry burgers, hot dogs, wings, bad nachos. We complained about the service but when we went to the front desk they did not want to bring in the manager. Then got a complimentary cheap bubbly and chocolates as a sorry but hello it’s all inclusive so I could have got that at the bar for free. How about a discount on a spa service? I went and got an 80min massage for $180 and they never asked me if I wanted anything to drink, spa bathrooms don’t have mouthwash, lotion, stops, hair bands etc like traditional spas do at other hotels. Night shows at this one were lame, acoustics were so bad and costumes and dances were not in sync w themes or didn’t seem like they practiced. Only highlights was dinner at Krystal, Gris the RIU party girl, and Jahir

Great Resort!!
Love this resort!!! The beach is lovely with all the palm trees!! The grounds are very pretty and well kept. The buffet is awesome, there were many food choices and the service was top notch. The specialty restaurants require no reservations so first come first served which works great as we like an early dinner and the food served is very good! We had an Elite Club room which was very nice with awesome views from the balcony (even though we had a side room which did NOT have a clear ocean front view as advertised), I am not a fan of the bathroom/shower design, but it was not a deal breaker. The few negatives are that there is only ONE restroom for the beach/pools and there should be several. Also, there should be a section on the beach for the Elite Club with separate servers as the beach is SO large and to have only one server working was not ideal. I will definitely be returning!!

Best Vacation
The hotel is very beautiful and clean the staff was AMAZING very nice friendly and always full of smiles I recommend that you stay here and enjoy the vibes and views of the ocean

Wonderful vacation
This is the second Riu resort that we have visited. The service, choice of Restaurants and other offerings were more than sufficient. The staff is friendly and helpful. If you know a little Espanol, it is a bonus, but we got by just fine. I know just enough to communicate sufficiently. The resort could use an update but is clean. The Maintenance and housekeeping staff are very responsive. If you want an affordable, adults only, chill getaway, this is the place.
