May 27, 2026First Solo Trip!
This is easily the most luxury hotel out of all the RIUS I have stayed at. The resort is clean as can be and gorgeous. I traveled Solo and this resort did not disappoint. Food - Buffet was great. I know people love to complain about all inclusive food but they had just enough each day to satisfy. Not a huge buffet but it will do. Restaurants- I love that it’s first come first serve! No reservations!!! Steakhouse was okay nothing amazing. Pepe’s by the pool!!! The RIBS!!! And everything was fresh. The guacamole alone could be eaten as a seperate meal or was great. The swim up bar pool was smaller but fun. Like most resorts the pool swim up bar is where all the action is. I’ll be returning! I’ve stayed at many resorts in the hotel zone and this was calm and chill. It’s not a party resort at all. But you can shuttle to the parties from Tuesday to Saturday! They drop you off and bring you home.

Amazing stay at Riu Palace Kukulkan
Our recent visit to the Hotel Riu Palace Kukulkan was phenomenal. From the moment we stepped into the beautiful lobby, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel pampered and welcome! The staff truly makes this hotel shine. From the friendly front desk, to the hardworking pool, restaurant servers, and housekeepers, everyone was warm and attentive. The rooms are spotless with beautiful views. The rooms are well maintained each day. All the restaurants and buffet were excellent. We loved every meal. The omelet station in the morning buffet was a favorite of ours. There are 4 beautiful pools. You can choose to do activities and have fun or a quieter, relaxing day. We did Elite Club. We enjoyed the EC dinner restaurant and the EC breakfast was amazing. The EC private pool area was perfect for relaxing. The premium liquor was also a plus. We had a fabulous vacation!

May 18, 2026An enjoyable five days.
Overall, I enjoyed my time at this resort. The service was prompt and the staff were cheerful. The room was clean and comfortable. The rainfall shower was nice after a day out in the sun. However, the food had something to be desired. The meat in the buffet were always overcooked. However, it got you by. I will say that the Elite Club was worth every penny. The pool was quieter and there was a shorter line for drinks at the elite club bar. It was nice to get a drink there and walk over to the pool bar. Also, the Elite Club restaurant had some good choices for food. The cowboy steak was absolutely cooked perfect. I stayed for five days and my batteries were recharged. I would recommend this hotel for adults of all ages to go.

My husband and I along with several other people we met by the pools got severely sick. The resort doesn’t care one bit. We spent $50 on 2 boxes of Pepto . I let the front desk know and the offered rice. You pay all this money for food and drinks to eat rice. Stay away from this disgusting resort.

Best experience
Our experience was AWESOME The workers were very friend and kind. The food was delicious and everything is very organized. The days that we were in the resort were fun a relaxing, we definitely would come again!
