I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas. The resort was beautiful, clean, and relaxing with excellent service. It was the perfect place for an enjoyable and stress‑free holiday.

Our stay at the Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas was wonderful in so many ways. The location was excellent. Our room was comfortable, spacious, and the view was fantastic as we looked out over the resort pool area and across the bay where we could see Lover's Beach and the surrounding rock formations. The entertainment team did a great job of both the poolside and evening entertainment. There was an excellent children's programme as well. It was never a problem to find chairs on the pool deck, and the bar service was very good also. There are five a la carte restaurants on the property and they do not require reservations. We loved that. It was never a problem to get a table, although the steakhouse at peak times sometimes had a bit of a wait. The buffet restaurant offered an easy option to dine anytime, and had many tasty choices for breakfast. Unfortunately, it also was the reason this review is not a five out of five. We were troubled to watch our food being prepared at the custom omelet station and find that the person doing the preparation was ungloved and was shoving her hand so far into her tray of cheese that it almost disappeared. It didn't look especially sanitary. That being said, we would return to the Riu Palace in the future. Everything else about it was top notch.

A week in heaven!
When we travel, we always choose the resorts. They are never disappointing. We stayed at the Rio Palace in Cabo and had the perfect week. The entertainment crew was by far the best we’ve ever seen. My husband loves activities and they provided them all day every day. The food is delicious. We only visited the buffet and the steakhouse as my husband is a picky eater. He loved them both. There are so many choices at the buffet. And you won’t get a better hamburger than the one out by the pool at the grill daily. They also have tacos, hotdog, salad, bar, and shrimp sometimes. If you’re looking for a beautiful location with great service, this is your place.

Hotel was dated, cleaning standards could be better, pool area needs work, but the staff was amazing. Gerry the waiter by the quiet pool was amazing. The food and all staff in the Italian restaurant were 10++. Only one towel station in whole resort. Shows were fun, nice covered area. We could use all Rui property beside us which was nice.
