This place was trash. The food was horrible. Room service horrible options. Drinks terrible. Loud obnoxious people. No class, no peace.

Erick was excellent and is pure Gold. Your dining room coordinator was always making sure the food was great and that guests were pleased. This was an excellent stay for me and I would definitely want to go back! However consider hallway cameras as it felt a bit secluded at times.

The Carnival Cruise of Hotels
I am currently staying at the RIU Palace Baja California and unfortunately feel the need to write this warning for other travelers. The resort itself has nice facilities, beautiful pools, and below average food options like most RIU properties. However, the atmosphere has been completely overtaken by a certain loud, obnoxious demographic of people who seem to have no manners and act like they own the place. From early morning to late night, it’s constant yelling, running around, blasting music, and zero consideration for anyone else trying to relax. They dominate the pools, the beach area, and even the restaurants with their entitled behavior. It genuinely feels like a Carnival Cruise ship docked here – chaotic, rowdy, and not the peaceful upscale vacation I expected from a Palace property. For comparison, I walked over to the RIU Palace resort and it was a 100 times better precisely because this group wasn’t there in such numbers. If you’re looking for a calm, refined experience, I’d think twice about this location right now. Management doesn’t seem to do much about it either. Hope this helps others avoid the frustration.

Perfect vacation time
Absolutely incredible experience! This was by far the best resort we have visited in the last 15 years. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The food was outstanding — every restaurant offered delicious, high-quality meals with excellent service. The staff throughout the resort were extremely friendly, welcoming, and professional, always making us feel comfortable and appreciated. The atmosphere of the resort was beautiful, relaxing, and luxurious at the same time. Everything was spotless, clean, and very well maintained. You can truly feel the attention to detail everywhere. Thank you for making our stay so memorable. We will definitely come back and highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a perfect vacation experience!

Usually hit Cancun. First time in Cabo
We've travelled to Cancun every year for the past 10 years; this was our first time on the Pacific side and our second time at a RIU property. This property is actually the adults only property next to two other RIU properties that you have access too. To the high points. Probably the best food of all the places we have been at this price point. The steak house rivals any restaurants you will find in the states. The Margaritaville, adults only Cancun is the only one that comes close. I'm going to give them number one on drinks. The pool bars had really good drinks and the main bar was fantastic. (You know how pool bars can end up with spiked Kool-Aid.) I ordered an old fashion, and I have to say the bartender, she was an artist. They even had a "bar cart" set up in the evenings where the bartender only made a specific drink. ...and he did it very well. However, The beach was rough. No sea grass but the waves coming in were scary. Not the property's fault but just letting you know. If you enjoy evening entertainment you will be disappointed. They had an ABBA night. During the show I was left questioning my life's choices. The pool bars were small and in the two smaller pools. The larger pools didn't have bars. Kind of weird. The RIU Santa Fe next door had a small water park. Slides were fun but they had a "toilet bowel" slide. I hit my head and pretty sure was passed out until I hit the water. It is Mexico, so you take your chances. If planning on going into Cabo. Make sure the Uber app is on your phone. That was so easy, inexpensive, quick, and we always felt safe. Granted you're just over a mile from town but 4 of us took an Uber for under $10. Beats the walk in the heat. Please do your research. I hope this helps. Happy travels.
