The impressive Riu Caribe, with its Mayan-style architecture overlooking the crystal-blue waters of the Mexican Caribbean, is the perfect site for a fantastic vacation. Riu Caribe features 506 luxurious ocean-view guestrooms with unique RIU amenities such as a mini-bar and liquor dispenser.
The 24-hour all-inclusive feature includes a wide array of restaurants, bars, snacks, and beverages, as well as a fun and relaxing atmosphere created by the large swimming pool and a spectacular beach. Facilities include two freshwater swimming pools, a diving pool, a solarium-terrace, a gym, sauna, a steam bath, Jacuzzi, and the Renova Spa. All meals and snacks are included at Riu Caribe. A hot and cold buffet is served for lunch as well as pizzas, pasta, salads, and assorted desserts. Greening Your Life: Part of the Apple Vacations Greening Your Life initiative, this property has implemented a sustainability system that has met criteria and has been approved by Travelife. All 10 Riu hotels in Cancun and Riviera Maya, Including Riu Caribe, have obtained a Travelife rating of Gold. This is the highest rating in the Travelife Sustainability System implantation.
Aside from the use of biodegradable cleaning products, the resort uses environmentally-friendly fabrics and recycles organic waste to generate compost conditions. A waste management plan has also been approved by local authorities. This includes replacing small, one-portion packages with bulk products to create less waste and use less trash bags, and appointing a hazardous waste manager who is in charge of collecting printer, toner, and photocopiers. Vegetable oil is also recycled and reused.
An awareness campaign has been started by placing posters of good environmental practices in different areas of the hotel. A Green Book has also been developed, where guests are invited to participate in caring for the environment through the development of sustainable activities.

Somehow, I booked a reservation with a baby rather than a 15 year old and they wanted $1200 more to add my child that doesn't drink. Nevermind that the price was the same with a 1 or 15 year old when I booked it. So, I offered for my wife and child to stay as the two adults and they wouldnt even do that because there qas no baby now. We used to like riu....not anymore

We have had a wonderful time in Riu Caribe, staying 7 nights, completely satisfied with all services provided by the resort. Rooms are nice and comfortable, very clean, and fresh towels were changed daily. The food is very repetitive, however fresh and tasty. We are early birds, and we're watching how the pool, pool area, and the beach were clean every morning. The staff are working hard to provide the best service. The beach was perfect during our stay. However, the last day after storm were allot of seagrass.

Overall a great holiday
Stayed at Riu Caribe mid May…hotel very clean and room a good size with a comfy bed. Food was nice and the atmosphere round the pool was great. One bartender at the pool bar an older man had an attitude didn’t catch his name but rest of the staff were nice. Beach clean at the start but seaweed started coming in towards the end. One of the days really bad.

No wifi
Room no wifi and the phone in the room was not working, only few rooms no wifi. And front desk staffs seems not care and not very helpful. Just said no room can change. And we paid that kind of money, turn out even worse to Cuba. But I wonder everywhere have wifi except those rooms, and they claimed the wifi is from Spain? Have to wait until they are wake up due to time different. Riu, a big brand, i been few of them, no backyp plan from lack of wifi from some rooms? this kind of service, I was disappointed. Only impressed was the entertainment team. Period.

a. The number of rooms will be deducted from the contracted allotments
b. Minimum Age requirement: 21 years of age or older.

d. Each room must submit a signed liability agreement upon check-in.
6. At all other RIU properties Student Groups / Spring Breakers (either groups or individuals, regardless of age) are not allowed at any time during the year

RIU Hotels & Resorts is in no way responsible for the consequences and or lawsuits that may ensue due to rejection of unauthorized spring breakers arriving on Riu property. Riu Hotels and Resorts withholds right of admission and will take the necessary steps to safeguard the All-inclusive leisure experience for which it prides itself, and which our mutual clients have come to expect. We consider it our obligation to protect those clients against unruly, unsecure, unhealthy, dangerous, noisy, obnoxious and in any other way, disruptive behavior.
