Apr 21, 2026False Advertising and Ran Down Hotel
I had to check out of the hotel due to the A/C being broken and no WiFi. The front desk purposely did not disclose that the air conditioning was out and the amenities were not working prior to check in. I booked through a third party and I am unable to get a refund because the hotel checked me in. Not to mention that here was 3 fire alarms in which I had to go down 12 flights of stairs only to be told after that it was a false alarm. I am so disappointed and displeased with this hotel and losing $173 on a room I couldn’t stay in. This hotel is below industry standard. The hotel lobby is appealing but the rest of the property is lack luster and ran down.

Bad experience
One of the supervisors, Eric, was extremely rude. When I brought up that the water was only lukewarm and that I had trouble dialing long distance from the room, my concerns were dismissed. Because I didn’t report the issues until checkout on a stay of less than 24 hours, they refused to do more than a minimal adjustment. I didn’t even use the shower until right before leaving. This should have been handled much better. Matt, the GM, even said the room had been checked and met their standards. They refunded the $50 resort fee and taxes, but nothing beyond that. The customer service was unacceptable, and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Park Shore Waikiki is located directly across from the Waikiki Beach. We booked a Poolside Lanai room. The room was large with patio doors opening to our private sitting area by the pool. The room is slightly dated but it was clean, comfortable beds, plenty of hot water. Absolutely provided everything we needed. Staff are a 5/5 as everyone one we interacted with were helpful and gladly provided everything we needed. Complimentary Lion coffee provided off the lobby every morning. Loved the filtered water dispenser and free sunscreen provided in the lobby. Location is a 5/5 … next door to the Honolulu Zoo. Recommend the local bus service for $3.00. We jumped on #42 a block from Park Shore Waikiki and rode it all the way to Pearl Harbour. You can walk all along Kalākaua Avenue from Park Shore. Also recommend Lulu’s Waikiki, accessible from the second floor of the hotel, an open air casual restaurant with views of Diamond Head and the water. Make reservations through Open Table. An ABC store is also accessible directly from the hotel to pick up snacks, wine, beer, anything you may have forgotten. Stay at Park Shore Waikiki … you won’t be disappointed.
