Apr 22, 2026Amazing resort for young families
We travelled here in December as a family of 6, 2 boys (6 and 9), my wife and I and her parents. We flew from Toronto to Cancun on an easy flight and took a private transfer from Canada Transfers to the resort as we had used them on a previous Mexico trip and were happy with them. Once again, Canada Transfers were awesome, no issues with them at all. We also booked the Family Concierge level, which depending on your thoughts on certain things may be more or less valuable to you. We were all checked in and welcomed warmly, drinks and snacks were handed out and we were taken to our room. We had arranged for a Master Suite Swim Up as we figured our youngest may need some down time in the afternoon while our oldest would still want to swim. It was a great call and they loved it. The room was clean, well appointed and comfortable. While we were at dinner that night, housekeeping arranged the sofa into its bed form for the kids and it stayed that way for the trip. They were thrilled with it, but have mentioned wanting a bed next time we travel. Family Concierge… For us, it was essential. Many comment on the booking of restaurants and such which was nice, but we were rather laid back about things and didn’t find this to be as important as it is for others. What truly made it have value was the Lunch Box Restaurant for breakfast and lunch, and the Pool. These areas were calm, relaxed, and were our favourite parts of the trip. We hit up the Lunch Box every day for both meals and spent our afternoons at the FC pool relaxing. Food… Food was at worst, fine, and at best, excellent. As mentioned, we went to the Lunch box for breakfast and lunch every day so I can’t speak to the buffet for those. We did go to the buffet for a couple of dinners which our kids preferred. It wasn’t anything crazy, but nothing was bad. The Teppanyaki, Italian and Seafood restaurants were great. We didn’t love the Mexican restaurant, but again, still good just not what we were looking for that night. The Ice Cream bar was an obsession of my kids. Ocean… The ocean was beautiful, not clear but very swimable. No sargassum issues while we were there, but it’s not the season for it. On the beach if you walk towards the ocean and turn left, you will find a fresh water pool on the beach that was amazing to hang out in for our kids. Pools and water park… The main pool was very nice, but we didn’t use it too often. It was very little kid friendly and ours were just a little older. The water park was nice, however my youngest wasn’t a strong enough swimmer and the water was a bit over his head so we went twice but didn’t stay long. Once again, the FC pool was such a welcome retreat. Staff… I can’t say enough, the most welcoming and wonderful people. Always friendly and helpful and kind. We didn’t have a single issue with anyone. Was there anything bad?… Not really. The coffee machine in our room never wanted to work properly, so I went for a walk to the FC lounge or the Nespresso bar and got coffee which I didn’t mind at all. A final point that can be good or bad depending on how you see it. This is a resort that ages out for kids around 12 give or take on your kid. It is geared heavily to families with young children so I wouldn’t recommend it for teens unless they are cool to relax all day. The resort will be full of small children and strollers. If that’s what you’re looking for, it’s incredible. If you are looking for quiet, I would suggest the adult side if possible. All that being said, I would 100% go back while my kids are still of an age to really enjoy it.

Our family of four sent a week here and it was great. The resort is lovely, with lots of great restaurants and pools. Everything is kept clean and well stocked and the staff is friendly, welcoming and helpful.

Family Trip
We had a great family vacation at the resort. A wide range of amenities and activities that is kids oriented. The staff was excellent, kind with attention to customer service. Our destination concierge, Roberto Vado, was thoughtful with treats for the kids and made arrangements (even some last minute) stress free simply by texting him. Room and facilities were very clean. Pool towels were plentiful. Restaurants were delicious, although the main buffet could have more variety. Unfortunately the time we went, the beach was full of sargassum but of the resort’s control. They spent much effort cleaning the beach daily.
