Its our second year in a row coming here and will be back again. The reviews are true about it being hard to find seating in shade but the rules seem to be reinforced a lot more this year making everyone's trip that much better. The other thing that made are trip that much better was the friendly and welcoming personalities of Rayner and Daniel in the Privilege pool area. These guys go the extra mile to make sure you have everything you need. Always greeting you with warm smiles and a gentle fist bumps. If you need a place to sit, a drink, a towel or even good info about the resort, these are your guys. Thank you so much for all you do for the guests at Oceans Blue and Sand!

Exceptional service
We had an amazing experience with privilege. Rayner and Daniel were exceptional in making sure our needs were met at all times. They made our trip to ocean blue 10/10 which is why we will be back for the third time!!!

Very good. No complaints. Great service. Jhary our butler was awesome looking after all our requests, and Daniel was amazing looking after us at the poolside. The beach was wonderful. The value of our experience upgrading to the privilege club was easily worth it. We will definitely be coming back.

Amaizing vacation!
A wonderful experince to stay at Ocean Blue and Sand hotel also due to a very helpfull and nice person - Victor! Thanks again Victor for all your help and availability for guiding us! We will come back in this paradise!

Arrival & Check-in * Late-night arrival was fine, but airport transfer is fairly long * Check-in was chaotic due to an event in the lobby * Requested no ground floor — still placed on ground level initially Room Issue * First room had strong mold smell with visible black/fuzzy mold (especially in bathroom) * Unacceptable condition * Moved the next morning; luggage held until 3 PM (appreciated) Beach * Beautiful — soft sand, very clean * Seaweed cleared daily with tractors * One of the best parts of the resort Food * Buffet (breakfast/lunch/dinner) was excellent — good variety and taste * À la carte restaurants hard to book via app * Tip: go to front desk if app fails — they’ll usually fit you in * Mexican restaurant: excellent (went twice) * Steakhouse: very good, especially the bread Service * Very inconsistent * Beach lunch bar was poor (long waits, hard to get water, beer tasted off) * Some friendly staff, but overall disorganized Pool * Decent but feels a bit enclosed * Fine for a few relaxed afternoons Entertainment * Hit or miss * Silent disco was fun * One good rock band night * Otherwise underwhelming Beach Chairs / Towels * Major issue * Chairs taken early and often “claimed” * Had our chairs taken twice * Noticed preferential treatment for higher-tier (“privileged”) guests Drinks * Good overall * Gin & tonics were consistent Overall * Strong positives: beach and food * Negatives: room condition (initial), service, organization, chair availability * Would not return for the price — better options available in Punta Cana
