Fantastic stay at Ocean Blue and Sand, Punta Cana.
Our stay at the Ocean Blue & Sand was fabulous, we went there to celebrate my brother’s 80th birthday and could not ask for a better experience. The staff of this resort from the bellman to the restaurant staff to the pool and beach attendants always went out of their way to meet our every need. Our butler (Tomás Newton) ensured that every detail of our stay was carefully planned and coordinated all the daily activities for our group. It was our first time staying at this property and we will be back for sure.

Ok for adults not for children
The hotel for couples/adults is great For families not so much They don’t speak or cater to you unless your Spanish Long wait times at the pool bars Long wait in restaurants especially if you do not tip on your first days The family lounge has broken aircon and is unruly hot and uncomfortable The mini disco advertised is non existent and does not exist When questioned we got palmed off with a lunch box and excused they took a photo of the children to prove they where doing there jobs in a fashion The only thing for children is on a Thursday foam party during the day The playground cannot be used unless your at the children’s club or only between hours of 12-1 Again on white party evening there is meant to be mini disco face painting ect They had never done this before was using YouTube while I held a torch as there was no lights and it was just shocking they had clearly never done it before They seem to be winding down the children services and aiming all towards adults it would seem Our room wasn’t ready on arrival even though we arrived after the correct check in time When we did check in we didn’t have enough bedding / beds made up it took 3 attempts to get this sorted Some members of our party have been quite poorly during and after our return The food I can say is great some days And housekeeping staff are lovely Other than that there’s not a lot to say Entertainment is standard some nights poor some nights better for the shows at 9.30pm Would not return as a family

DIARRHEA /AND TIMESHARE NIGHTMARE
Be very careful with the water, ice, and drinks. Out of our 9-day vacation, my entire family, including my in-laws, spent about 6 days suffering from severe diarrhea and stomach pain. We returned to the U.S. on 5/26/26 and were still recovering days later. After speaking with other guests and reading reviews, I discovered many people have reported the same issue for years. The staff throughout the resort—including housekeeping, bartenders, servers, and bell staff—were wonderful. Unfortunately, management was the complete opposite. On our second day, Gustavo convinced us to attend what was supposed to be a 30-minute presentation in exchange for spa massages. Instead, it turned into a 6-hour timeshare sales pitch. Janelys continuously pressured us to sign, and after hours of pressure, we purchased a timeshare as her guy manager didnt catch his and pressured us also$6,500 dollars later we were told that if we later canceled, we would have to pay $120 per day for the privilege bracelets. Just two days later, on my husband’s birthday, our entire group became extremely ill with severe diarrhea. My son even had accidents because he couldn’t make it to the bathroom in time. We informed multiple employees, but nobody seemed concerned. Everyone acting like thats their normal and many people working there confirmed they also get sick. Later, I also learned many other guests were experiencing the same problem. When Franchesca bumped into us at the buffet she asked how everything was. I explained how much the illness had ruined our vacation ans how we were also unpleased that we were forced to sign without giving us time to think a few days about the timeshare. Had we wouldve allowed days to pass by and see how ill we would’ve been we would’ve avoided signing up all tpgether. On 5/25/26, I decided to cancel the timeshare. Instead of showing any empathy, Annie Marie, the timeshare director, insisted we pay $840 for the bracelets and threatened not to process the cancellation otherwise. As i asked fo speak to the highest manager she claimed I already was. Another manager with long black hair, who was smoking inside the office, laughed in my face and threatened to have me removed when they didnt wamt to cancel my timeshare so I started letting everyone know what they had just done! After I warned other guests about my experience, security was called and escorted us away. Maximo, the resort’s Provider Relations Manager, also refused to waive the bracelet fees despite our illness, and we were forced to pay $840 to cancel. The lack of compassion, professionalism, and customer service from management was shocking. Gustavo, Janelys, Franchesca, Annie Marie, the unnamed manager in the office with really long black hair, and Maximo all contributed to an experience that left us feeling pressured, dismissed, and taken advantage of. The resort staff were great, but the management team was the worst I have ever encountered. We will never return and cannot recommend this resort to others. They will try to write back how they are sorry, that and that they will talk to all health departments and fix it moving forward but please look back years of negative reviews of same issues that neverrrr get fixed. Not to mention the broken phone for the week, the weak air conditioning system and the internet that kept disconnecting not allowing us to use the room phone and having to call from our phones. Instead of investing in bottled beverages and good filtration systems. They also have thousands of flies on the foods in the buffets. So unpleasant to see! I ended up eating toast most of the week as I was disappointed by all that and sick to my stomach! They did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING for upmost paying guests!! 10 thumbs down!

Piano bar
We had an amazing experience. Service was outstanding, specially at the piano bar with Javier. Highly recommend. Can't wait to come back.
