Just book it!
I have been to Huatulco many times, but this was my first stay at Las Brisas and it did not disappoint! The location is stunning with beautiful, well maintained grounds all around. I like having options to plunk down on the beach (there are three to choose from), but we did end up hunkering down at main beach most of the time. I am usually a pool girl, but found myself every single day on the beach because the Ocean is like one big pool on these beaches with many options to just swim and float or snorkel right off the beach. This is definitely not a resort for anyone with mobility issues, however the shuttles Are very regular and easy to catch, though you still have to walk a ways to even get to one at the lobby. I enjoyed the exercise each day but some might not. I stayed in the Club section and the little lounge was such a treat for breakfast and appies each day and it is very well air-conditioned, which was an extra bonus this time of year! My friend and I were travelling toward the end of the season and the staff, you could tell, were a little worn out and tired after a long few months of customer service, (if you know, you know!) but they still were working so hard. Kudos to them! There was one lady on the beach who stood out to us…Lucely! Thanks for being a ray of sunshine and taking time to visit and teach us a little more Spanish 🥰. I will be coming back to Las Brisas for sure! It is such a nice laid-back vibe compared to some other all inclusive resorts I’ve been to. One other interesting thing To mention is that when travelling to and from our room from the lobby, you get to see a lot of “behind the scenes” of the resort. Normally, these areas are quite offputting and gross, but both my friend and I noticed that even these areas were very clean and well-maintained! It was a refreshing change from other resorts. You won’t go wrong booking here… Just do it! And bring your snorkel stuff. It’s totally worth it - exceeded my expectations for sure! 👍🏽

Worth every penny, best trip of my life.
Amazing, absolutely recommend, remarkable. The venue is unique, outdoors always, fresh air. Services everywhere through the resort for drinks, food, towels etc. On the resort there’s so much to stay busy with, and easy to book excursions off the resort. We took a taxi to the nearby town, felt more safe than my home in Canada. The food is great here, the A La Carte experiences are spectacular. We’ve been using the gym which is great. We went on a snorkeling excursion but personally I find the on resort snorkeling better. The night shows are a must do. Every night they have an amazing performance by an outstanding group of singers and dancers. We’ve enjoyed them every night and it’s one of the unsung highlights. The staff are the friendliest I’ve ever experienced. I’d absolutely recommend it here to any Canadians looking to experience Mexico.

Paradise
The resort is really beautiful with lots of fabulous views. We liked how the rooms are divided into sections almost like small villages nestled into the hills. There are lovely gardens and stairs everywhere. There are no elevators so you can definitely get a good work out just strolling around. For people who don't wish to deal with the elevation changes, shuttles are running non-stop. What stood out most was the staff at the resort. There were so many kind, friendly hardworking people. We'd like to commend Mirna, Xotilt, Janine who served us our breakfast each day at the Mexican restaurant. Suemi and Eva worked tirelessly at the omelette and burrito station. Hostesses Adriana, Esther and Sarai greeted us so warmly at breakfast, lunch and dinner always taking a moment for a friendly word. There are 3 pools at the resort. They were clean and the water was comfortably warm! The adult pool was very relaxing. The loungers fill up quickly but we found the volume of the music of the activities and animation to be too much for us so we preferred to find chairs at the beach or grass area and just walk up to the pool with our towels. There was always an area or corner to leave our stuff. The beach bar on the grass by the spa was never crowded. Bartender Luis and Servers Lucila, Octaviano, Paz were so efficient and friendly. Food was a little hit and miss. We visited the a la carte restaurants a number of times. Some meals were great, others lacking. We did find that the seafood and chicken dishes were most to our liking. We'd be remiss if we didn't mention Senior Juan, manager of the Mediterranean restaurant. Each time we came for a meal he was so "present", circulating and talking to his guests, mentoring his staff, even helping to set tables. His pride in his work and team is very impressive and heartwarming. We ate at the buffet a number of times. Each night there is a different theme (International, Italian, Spanish, Mexican). The pasta bar was great- so hot and fresh! We did notice that the serving dishes at the regular buffet could not keep some of the foods very warm due to the lids continuously being opened and closed as guests served themselves. There was always a chef on site cooking up fresh Mexican dishes too so there was always something good to eat. Each night after dinner we went to bar at the Mexican Restaurant. It is much quieter than the main lobby and has a lovely view. Fermin is a fabulous bartender! Many thanks to him and server Edgar who always came by for a quick word and a smile. Our room was comfortable and well stocked. The pillows were too high the first night but we visited the front desk and they quickly sent flatter ones. We really enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere of the resort. For those who want activity, there are loads of choices: tennis, pickleball, basketball, swimming, snorkelling, even a birdwatching tour right on site! We would love to go back and visit next year!

Active holiday with excellent staff!
Loved this place. We enjoy being active on holiday and really enjoyed tennis (including the lessons), pickleball and snorkelling. We took our own gear for ease, but it is available to borrow on site. We did a little kayak and SUP-nothing amazing as you are not allowed to go far, but nice to get out in the bay for a little while. Yoga, aquacise and the huge gym were fun too. There are tons of stairs and we enjoyed all the walking required to get from our room to the rest of the resort. The bird watching walk one morning was excellent. We thought the food was really very good, especially the stations at breakfast and dinner where food is made in front of you so is fresh and hot. The al la carte restaurants were great too. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. This is a really well run resort and we will seriously consider returning (and we have never before returned to any resort ever)! The direct flight from Calgary, 20 mins drive from the airport and no time change made it a super easy week away.
