Apr 20, 2026Breakfast today disappointing
Exceptionally long wait for breakfast service . Finally table cleared from previous occupants . Upon finishing the first course ( buffet breakfast ) returning with another plate the table was not cleared , ok , so we popped the plates out of the way on another table. The headmistress came and chastised my wife for that action !!! Disappointing we have used RIU previously and hope this is a one off , nevertheless dropped a star rating on this basis.

Apr 16, 2026We Will Return for a 4th visit.
This is our 3rd visit to this hotel and I have to say it’s still perfect for us. Our room and the rest of the hotel is spotless. We really enjoy our breakfast and evening meal, there’s lots to choose from can’t imagine anyone would go hungry. All the pools are extremely clean and the surrounding areas and it’s easy to get a lounger. The staff are really friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Download the Riu app as it’s really handy for requesting extra pillows, hangers etc.

Second visit to this hotel and sadly we won’t rush back as standards have considerately declined. The hotel is in need of a full renovation, furniture in our room was tired, stained, scratched with the drawers unstable. Cleaning staff woke us every day, early mornings so no chance of a lie in on holiday! To be fair our room was cleaned to a fashion daily. We paid for half board and found the food to be tepid as it’s cooked in the back kitchen and doesn’t retain its temperature. Quality of meals very disappointing being served cooked carrots and green beans for breakfast is not what most people would expect of a 4 star hotel. When we spoke to local bars they advised us they were busy with hotel guests eating there as the hotel had been bought out by a German company who were cutting corners to save money! Queues to enter the buffet style restaurant were large and the other restaurant at the hotel was closed during our visit hence we ate out. The lower infinity pool bar was closed for most of our stay potentially as the weather was hit and miss, however the sun loungers are stained, worn and uncomfortable. I mentioned the food quality at reception and the blonde lady shrugged her shoulders! Entertainment was as mentioned in previous reviews tailored to over 70s Overall a very poor experience

Lovely hotel.
Lovely hotel in a quiet area of Adeje. A bit more upmarket than other areas. It was exceptionally clean and the grounds meticulously kept. The food was delicious if not on the cool side sometimes. Lots of choice. The entertainment was great. Not many bars locally but Fanabe isn’t far to walk too. Our room was garden facing. We would have preferred a pool view but none available at time of booking. Room well equipped and shower powerful. We had the bonus of a side seat view. Higher floor rooms recommended we were floor 3 and this was fine. Pool area lovely. Reception staff extremely friendly and helpful. We would holiday here again for sure. Shame the weather wasn’t the best.
