    Beautiful experience

    Gorgeous rooms. Although something went wrong with shower door in first beautiful room, they did good and moved us to an even nicer room. Also, Aurora in food services was exceptional in her care for our needs and making this a memorable stay.

    Perfect

    Absolutely perfect! We have been to Venice before and we stayed at a lovely hotel but it was without our children. It was hard to find somewhere that had rooms to accommodate us all. We had stayed in a Hilton in sorrento which had totally put me off the chain but someone had recommended this one and I am so glad we booked it! From the arrival in our private taxi boat, the greeting was lovely and our room was ready early which as a traveller I think is always great to hear. The suite was amazing! So clean and stylish! The breakfast was also amazing! I cannot fault our stay or the hotel and we have stayed in some brilliant hotels. Take the Murano trip the offer as this was great too!

    Not impressed with our accommodation or the hotel's attitude!

    If I could, I'd give minus stars. The check in process is confusing and long winded. When we finally received our room keys, we found a king size bed and a small, low foldout rollaway bed which sloped down towards the head of the bed, had been pushed up against the end of the king sized bed. We rang reception and told them we required twin beds, and was told they had no twin beds available and the king bed could not be separated. We asked the Viking representative in the hotel to speak with hotel staff, which she did, but they were totally unhelpful. Both spoke in Italian which we do not speak, despite both being able to speak English. The hotel staff member was aloof, unaccomodating and offhand to the point of rudeness. She said Viking had not ordered twin beds but was unable to offer the reason for there being two beds in the room. They offered only to remove the single bed and supply two doonas so we could sleep in the same bed! Considering the size of the hotel, we found it hard to believe they did not have one twin room available to move us to. On checking the hotel online booking site, I found TWO rooms available with twin beds!

    Beautiful!

    A very beautiful hotel, from the moment you approach it over the lagoon. Rooms were really nice and clean. Staff very polite and helpful. The breakfast spread was brilliant! Just a shame the rooftop pool was closed. And the rooftop bar drinks were VERY expensive.

    Nice hotel, not quite 5*

    This was our first time visiting Venice and staying in a Hilton hotel. We were greeted by friendly check-in staff. Check in was nice and smooth and although our room was not ready (we arrived before 3pm), we were contacted when it was. Cannot comment too much on hotel amenities as we stayed room only. However, did access the rooftop bar. I recommend booking as those who had not booked were allocated tables in the shade, which was cold at the beginning of April. I would describe the hotel as expensive and it takes full advantage of the location with little options around. We ordered room service first night - 1x lasagne, 1x fries & 2 coke zero which came to €66. Purchased 4 small bottles of water for €14 and 2 coffees the morning of checking out for €16. Shuttle service to and from the hotel is excellent, running on time frequently through the day. Although this is €15 per person for duration of stay. Just makes the overall experience feel as if they are trying to make as much money as possible, any which way they can. Main negative is unfortunately the pillows in the room were dirty and we had to ask for clean ones twice. When the new pillows finally arrived they too were dirty. Housekeeping also failed to clean dirty glasses from room service we had with our room service two days prior. They were still left on the table when we vacated the room - expect better from a 5*. Overall a nice stay and should we have not had dirty pillows - wouldn’t have a bad thing to say. Don’t let this review put you off… just somethings to be mindful of.
