Nice enough hotel, good breakfast. Shower was ok but not great. Their app pretended I could check in online but didn't actually work and I learnt from the desk that they don't actually offer it. It's not something I would have really cared about having but if it's not available the app shouldn't offer it and cause confusion. I also got some texts from a random mobile phone number asking me how my stay was - I'd have expected them to come from something more official looking rather than having to wonder if someone had stolen my details.

Had a trip to Birmingham with hubby. Wanted to visit the Ozzy exhibition. Hotel was great value especially with the free breakfast which was lovely . Parked at the NCP as very secure . Bit of a walk but not far. Room was lovely and comfy. Only 2 things the pillows were really small . Smaller tham most . Also 1 small window but view of the roof. We got 2 free drinks because we had to wait for our key card which was very good. Would stay again

I came down for the weekend and definitely will return with my partner! Last minute trip & was helped by Sarah from the moment I checked in till i checked out (hope you had enough rest!) with a shop seconds away and 24 hours I think it’s definitely value for money

Clean, Quiet and Comfortable - Good Enough!
I found this hotel to be a comfortable and quiet short-stay Birmingham base. Staying here for business purposes, I appreciated the hospitable staff, the clean, quiet, comfortable room, and the variety of veggie and vegan friendly options at breakfast. The area is a cultural hotspot, and the nearby Blue Nile restaurant serves amazing Ethiopian food, which I’d highly recommend. Ubers into the city are relatively cheap, the Tram costs £2.50 (single) and once you’ve got your bearings, the walk’s not bad at all. I’m rating this hotel as 4-stars overall, which I think is a fair testament to the hard-working staff, the building’s comfort and its high standard of cleanliness. At times, I did experience things that other reviews mention. However, from prior experience, I arrived with low expectations of the Hampton brand nonetheless. I’m pleased to say that this hotel exceeded those, and overall, I had a good stay.

This is the worst of the Hampton properties and they’re pretty crap overall. I checked out a day early and wasn’t even asked why or if anything was wrong. Staff are slow and unfriendly, smile and they scowl at you I have never been made to feel so unwelcome, not even an apology when groups of people are stood at the bar waiting ages just to order. The room has a stunning view of tram tracks and overgrown weeds, windows you can’t open and noisy leading to a rubbish night sleep. The gym is clearly not cleaned as using the equipment I had black marks on my hands, yuck! In a bit of a rough area with no decent restaurants nearby but at least you can escape easily being right next to the tram stop. Evening meals are limited to pizza, curry, lasagne and pre-made pizzas. An offering worse than a spoons microwave meal. Having stayed in all three Birmingham Hilton properties I may be diamond but I’m done with it and if I have to stay in the city I’ll vote with my feet to another hotel chain.
