  A really enjoyable stay from start to finish.

  The a la carte restaurants were excellent, the rooms were comfortable and breakfast was easily our favourite part of the day. Kelly was one of the people who really made our stay memorable. She was always friendly, easy to talk to and genuinely lovely to be around. We’ll definitely miss seeing her. Ana at reception gave us a great welcome with cava and towels when we arrived. Any time we needed help, she was always approachable and happy to assist.

  Good, but could and should be better

  Nice hotel, great location. The room was very good, and the pool and sea view across to Fuerteventura are very nice indeed. Overall the accommodation works well when the weather is good, and not so well when the weather is poor. OK it's designed for good weather which is sort of normal in Lanzarote, so I'm not knocking that. The only downside we found was the dining arrangements. The food was fine, but who comes on holiday to queue up and wait. We don't for sure. We've stayed at many hotels where they organise a seating time. So no queuing and no waiting for a table to become free. And the other issue is that the dining rooms are just a little too like school dinners, open and in rows, and quite loud as a result. We will stay again but we'll be dining out.

  A relaxed holiday

  Beautiful Hotel. Staff were always very helpful. Check in went very smooth and quickly. Food and drinks were excellent. There was entertainment every night but only for just less than an hour. It would have been nice to be able to enjoy the performers for a little longer. It's not really a complaint. Just an observation. Oh and the candle making was cool. Both myself and my Wife enjoyed doing it. Yes , we would come back and would recommend this hotel to our family and friends. Thank you.

  Very good stay - with room for improvement

  We had a great stay at Dreams Lanzarote ( now Grand Hyatt) as a family this past week . While there is certainly room for improvement , overall I would say it’s a great hôtel and we enjoyed our stay . First of all , all the staff we encountered were helpful and friendly - special mention to Ariadna at reception who was so great with our twin daughters, and Yaza ( sorry if misspelled ) who was in charge of the omelette station at the buffet . The hotel was spotlessly clean and our room cleaned daily and our mini fridge replenished daily as well ( all inclusive ). The room was spacious and comfortable - with comfy duvet and pillows , and nice bathroom . The view we were given was probably one of the worst of the hotel (4105) seeing the construction materials and boxes of supply for the hotel , skip etc , but we did not spend much time in the room so it did not bother us too much. The food was very good in the buffet and à la carte restaurant ( the Italian ) was especially good - Himitsu had very limited options for my allergies so I unfortunately did not have a main meal there. The pool were nice and warm - my two daughters loved the the pool with the slides and we spent a lot of time there . The hotel is very well located between the marina and the “town” and it was easy to walk back and forth . The reasons why we would not consider coming back : The entertainment for children and adults is not what we would expect - while the ladies leading the mini disco every night were really great - it was only for 30 minutes and the rest of the day there was limited entertainment for children . There is a kid’s club , but there was often no other children there . The evening entertainment I think was a hit and miss - and I’m sure it might cater to a different audience. We felt like there were limited snack options outside the restaurant opening times , which most all inclusive provide . However there are shops close by Overall we had a good stay and the staff was great - quality of food and rooms definitely high standards but the entertainment was not up to our expectations

  Relaxing and friendly Hotel

  We enjoyed a 10 day break in this hotel. The holiday was a relaxing few days away as a chill out holiday. The hotel was just what we needed, peace and quiet as it was not peak time. The room was very well comfortable and clean, as it was cared for by 3 groups of service people, 1 for mini bar and drinks, another for bed and tidying and 1 for turning the sheets down at night ( and leaving some chocs!). We booked the preferred category and for this we enjoyed extra services like lunch time "preferred lounge" with food and drink available, and also the free mini bar was restocked at no cost per day. We found the Customer service staff Agnes and Marta extremely helpful and friendly, and the restaurant staff were also very friendly and accommodating, particularly Jhon G and Daniela. We found the swimming pools and surrounding areas clean and restful. We booked half board which was sufficient for us. The restaurants were very clean, and the varied food availability was very good, with themed menus which were very good. To finish the holiday we found a bottle of Cava and a very nice letter thanking us for our custom and hoping we would come back, which we definitely will! Well done Dreams Lanzarote Playa Dorada Resort and Spa!!
