We had a great stay here, their junior suite was very spacious with amazing sunrise views from the balcony area. The resort has several swimming pools and their complimentary breakfast is excellent with the largest food variety I have seen in a breakfast buffet . Even though I am not a breakfast person, I made sure I made it to the restaurant in the morning. The hotel location is also great, just few minutes walk from the center of town, restaurants and buses for day trips to Oia and other beautiful destinations.

Fabulous hotel
Just returned from El Greco Resort after staying with friends for birthday celebrations. The hotel is located less than a 10 minute walk from Fira town. Our room had a gorgeous view of the volcano and was spotlessly clean, as was the entire hotel. We stayed in a junior suite which was perfect for our party of three adults. The room was cleaned daily with fresh towels provided every day. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice. The outdoor pool areas were spacious and clean with very comfortable loungers. All of the staff were really lovely, very friendly and helpful. When we arrived there was a birthday greeting in our room with a bottle of Prosecco and mini cupcakes - a lovely gesture from the hotel. Would highly recommend the El Greco for anyone considering a stay in Fira.

Dec 12, 2025Lovely resort within walking distance to town.
We stayed at the El Greco for 3 nights and it was awesome. We had a living room/bedroom with a nice porch and a pool just in front of our room. The entire complex is amazing. Our only thing to complain about is the food isn't as good as other hotels we've stayed at in Greece. If you're going to Oia, take the city bus for a couple of Euros rather than a taxi. The buses are like tourist coaches and very comfortable!

Fabulous hotel
A fabulous hotel. Spotlessly clean; very friendly staff; good location (5 minutes walk from Fira) ; rooms were comfortable and spacious and the design of the hotel is lovely. Gym space is good; there is a spa ;breakfast was excellent and lots of choice. We visited in October - warm sun and pool was still swimable (after an initial shock). There was a pool bar which served cocktails and food which you could choose to take to your sun lounger or eat at the poolside table. Lots of lovely places to eat in Fira (it is not cheap though!) Hotel was perfect for a couples stay but we would happily take our children there and think it would be great for them too.

Great hotel perfect location
Perfect location just 10/15 minute walk to the centre of Fira with all it's shops, restaurants, bars, water taxis & cable car. The top pool by the main bar & restaurant, and the second pool were always busy but there are multiple pools and as we went in September we could always find a spot around one of the others. There is also another day bar & breakfast room/ lunch veranda by the bottom pool near the spa. The staff were excellent, particularly the restaurant/bar manager. We went half board and there was always a plentiful supply of food to suit everyone. The hotel was very clean & well maintained. The rooms were light & airy with a fridge. The view of Fira from our Hotel room was lovely especially at night. The water is not drinkable so stock up on bottles to make your tea & coffee in the room. Although you can go to Fira or Oia for the sunset there is an amazing sunset view opposite the front entrance to the hotel and you can see the sunrise from the bottom pool area too. An excellent hotel - we have already booked again for next year.
