  Could be so much better

  This is a true and honest review. The resort has beautiful gardens and clean walkways. There are plenty of sunbeds and never had a problem getting our sunbeds in the mornings. The food in the main restaurant (that you can sit outside ) was lovely and there was a good choice for breakfast and lunch , it’s shut in the evening. The swim up bar was lovely and the staff in there were friendly. However, the service can be varied. I was told off for asking for a drink in one of the restaurants in the evening which made me feel very uncomfortable. Another one in our group was told off because she was choosing her main and was taking too long . The reason for the delay in choosing was because they had run out of the steak choice, this was 9.15 pm. It’s an all inclusive resort. They should not be running out . We chose another meal and was offered only cheesecake for dessert as they had run out of desserts. You are rushed to choose, rushed to eat, rushed to finish and leave. We were in the restaurant for 40 minutes for this meal. We found this to be the case in all restaurants for the evenings, daytime meals were much more relaxed and friendly We went to the bar after the meal, very nice, overlooking the sea. It’s now 9.55pm. We asked for 4 drinks, they were going to be given to us in plastic cups so I asked can we have glass , we weren’t on the beach. The barman said no as he was shutting in 20 minutes. Why this had a bearing on what glass/cup to use I don’t know. The bar should be open until 11 according to the Tui app. We queried this a bit later as we wanted another drink and he backed down and stayed open until 10.50 pm. This was the second time we had this experience with the bar. It just seems that everyone wants to get you out and go home as soon as they can. There is a definite difference in service between day and evening. Lastly. When you arrive at the airport and can’t find your rep. Do not listen to a worker that your coach /transfer has gone , the suggestion is that you will need to get a taxi . Your coach will be there, but you might have to search for it ! This is my experience

  Bad experience.

  Pretty resort. Beach is clear. On my first day. Loud party people at 2 am. Loud loud loud. Today - went to Oceanside restaurant. Couldn’t get service for coffee. They seem to ignore. Stood at buffet. Again ignored. I guess I won’t eat today. Told private concierge. So clear by her response she could care less. I suspect I’ll be ending holiday early. Don’t come unless you rude or better put - no service

  Lovely hotel, staff and entertainment

  This was our first visit to the resort which was a coach trip of approx. 80-90 minutes from the airport. From the start we really liked the general feel of the hotel and the grounds it was set in. You could easily spend ages walking round looking at the lovely trees, plants and occasional wildlife (racoon, coati. agouti and lizard). The reception staff were helpful and always able to change money for tipping. Our room was the Junior Suite which was large and had a lovely big bed, whirlpool bath, tv, stocked fridge, table and chairs, iron and ironing board. The room was showing signs of needing an update with broken floor tiles, a wardrobe light that didn't turn off and a shower with a leaking shower head and loose door which had come away from the wall (this was fixed immediately we reported it). The room also had air conditioning and a ceiling fan. Fortunately we only needed the fan on at night as the air con was quite noisy. The room was well cleaned every day. We loved the many options for eating. You could opt for a buffet or served breakfast, lunch or book an A la carte evening meal. The A la carte bookings were done by visiting your local concierge and there were not always any spaces left on some evenings but you just need to keep trying as spaces do become available due to cancellations etc. These are all included in the All Inclusive package other than the Asian restaurant which for some reasons is an extra £20approx each. We loved the food at all the restaurants (we didn't try the Asian) although some of the vegetable portions in the Italian were very small - even for A la carte. All the staff were great especially Lorenzo in the Culinarium and Anselmo in the Mexican. Although we usually prefer to spend our day by the pool, we ended up on the beach most days as there is a lack of space and the pools are small. You could usually find a lounger on the beach but not always and not always by a parasol. There was no restriction on the number of towels people were given, we saw people reserving a lounge in the sun and another in the shade. The quality of the loungers wasn't great and some had sunk so you were basically lying on the hard frame underneath! There was a lot of seaweed on the beach first thing but this was quickly cleared and kept cleared by an army of men working non stop all day. You could also order drinks from the beach which started about 10am. Again all lovely staff, one being Veronica. There were things to do during the day and also lots of good evening entertainment throughout the week eg. a fire show, Mexican night, silent disco, Michael Jackson tribute, various groups, saxophonist and a late night DJ. Overall we had a great time, despite some little niggles the friendly staff (who would all say "hola" when passing you) made up for it and we would come back again.

  EDSSS/EDSSP staff made our dreams come true! 50th Birthday Crew - March 2026

  It was 35 of us in our group. We were provided stellar service from beginning to end. Ms. Isabel Corpus, Mr. Guillermo (Lomas Travel), Mr. Edgar (with events) were superstars for our stay in El Dorado Seaside Palms for my 50th birthday party celebration! The property is phenomenal and immaculate. The rooms are so very clean and very well appointed. The atmosphere is vibrant and calming. I can just feel the high cortisol float away. The food was so tasty and rememberable. The head chef at Frontera grill also managed my party - we were overwhelmed with it all! Thank you all for making my 50th birthday a memorable for my lifetimes!

  Last minute honeymoon!

  We visited for 9 nights after our previous honeymoon was cancelled on short notice and were delighted with El Dorado! We have been to Royalton and Bahia hotels in Mexico and this definitely has some elements better. The food is great across the resort, we mainly ate at the restaurants on a night and enjoyed the Mexican and Pub the most. We also liked having served breakfasts alongside the buffet options. For dinner the BBQ at the end of the beach is an absolute must, ask for a mixed platter. Drinks are also good in the main, good lager, no cocktail lists but the waiters can make most standard cocktails. Beach area is well maintained and clean (as is the whole resort) - seaweed does build up but the area near the pier is good for swimming with fish and a stingray! The pool areas are all clean, we used the main pool for a few days which is more lively and good if you want a drink, but plenty of calm options elsewhere. The entire ground is lush, well maintained and easy to navigate. Overall very impressed, we would put it right on par with the royalton and Bahia , above both for food.
