The resort is on a beautiful peaceful beach. The food at every restaurant was great. The buffet was surprisingly exceptional for both breakfast and lunch.

Very underwhelming
Dreams Playa Bonita was easily the most disappointing part of our trip. We stayed at Hyatt Regency Panama City for 4 nights prior but we wanted a resort experience since we've never stayed at a resort. Let me start with the positives: the pool area is beautiful, the outdoor grounds are well maintained, and the views, especially from the balcony overlooking the beach and ships lined up to cross The Panama Canal are absolutely stunning. That’s honestly what carries this property. Unfortunately, everything inside the room was a completely different experience. We had stained sheets on arrival, and when we asked for them to be changed, the replacement sheets were also stained damp and stinky. That alone set the tone. The room felt outdated and poorly maintained, rust spots on the mirror, worn-out chairs that should have been replaced, and an overall damp, dingy feel. The bathroom setup was also very inconvenient. The shower is extremely small with only an overhead shower head. If you don’t want to get your hair wet, you’re forced to awkwardly lean forward against the wall just to shower. Food was underwhelming across the board. Presentation was lacking, and the taste was mediocre at best. For a resort, this was a big miss. There were some activities offered, but the atmosphere felt low-energy, with very little participation. It didn’t feel lively or engaging. Overall, the outside of the resort (pool, views, location) gives a great first impression, but the rooms, food, and overall experience do not live up to it. After such a great trip in Panama, this was a major letdown. I would not stay here again and would recommend looking at other options nearby if you’re expecting a higher standard.

This was my first time at this Dreams Resort. I have stayed at other Dreams Resorts in Mexico and this did not live to the caliber of the Dreams Brand. A disappointment…

We had an outstanding experience!
Stunning property with a large variety of amenities all available in an "all-inclusive" format which adds to comfort and ease. Staff and service providers were attentive above and beyond, friendly and eager to assist in all requests. As a guest of a family member that holds the club membership, I do not have visibility as to the cost, but observing other guests at the resort it would appear the pricing is within a reasonable range for a luxury resort. There were many families with small children. As a club member itinerary we also had access to an adult only pool area that was quieter, along with other preferred areas for club members. We had an outstanding experience!
- AdvisoryStudent Groups (Spring Breakers) are not permitted at Hotel. A student group consist of those that travel without parent supervision or a responsible adult in each room. This could refer to but not limited to high school students or college students booking multiple rooms. The hotel reserves the right to deny lodging to any reservations of this type.
