Excellent resort! An amazing oasis!
Great experience. We returned to this resort for 6 times. A true oasis on an arid island, a bird sanctuary. Very good food, amazing staff and superb beach! Will always return!

Very smelly room, Beautiful Views, 3/5 stars
I would think since it’s our honeymoon and they were aware of that, they wouldn’t give us such a stinky room! The room smells so bad like mold/mildew that my allergies are going crazy. I will probably have the black lung by the time we leave in 2 days. There’s also no full length mirror like in the pics, so I can’t even see what my outfits look like before I leave. I’m so ready to go home, 9 days is too long here lol. The shower has no curtain or door so the bathroom floor is always flooded after a shower. And they don’t give you many towels so I always have to ask for more everyday I’m here. They apparently don’t tell you on Expedia that “all inclusive” isn’t all inclusive unless it’s the “mega all inclusive”, which is more expensive and when you get there they ask you if you want to upgrade to that…as well as try to sell you a timeshare and different day trips. When you stay at Golf, you have access to 4 restaurants and 2 tiki bars that include the regular all inclusive. The two bars/restaurants on the beach are not included for reg all inclusive. My favorite part is seeing all the iguanas, colorful lizards and birds. My view is of the big lake and golf course and it’s very relaxing sitting on the porch. The pool is right next to us which is also very convenient and then we can hear music all day/night cause we are next door. Definitely go shopping down town when you come here. I would love to come back to Aruba again and stay at a different resort. This resort is overpriced for what you get. Every drink is at least $10 and every meal, drink, whatever- you get a check with suggested tips. The staff here are very nice. We spent another small fortune just on gratuities. The grounds are very clean and pretty!

Terrible
My wife and I booked a studio suite for 8 days in the Divi Village Golf and Beach Resort, including flights, with iTravel2000 on Sept 14/25. Our friends had already booked a 2 week trip to the same resort and we decided to go as well so that we could vacation together. On March 23/26, we received a hotel voucher confirming our trip. Our flight with Air Canada was surprisingly pleasant, with very friendly and attentive flight attendants. When we arrived at the hotel to check in, there was a slight delay and the young desk representative left the desk for a few moments. When she returned, she told me that we had cancelled our reservation before we arrived. I was shocked and told her we didn't do this. If we had done so, why would we fly all the way here from Canada. She said that perhaps iTravel2000 had cancelled it and that we could book it while we were there, but would have to pay for the room. We had already paid more than $7000 for this trip, so we weren't going to pay again. I showed her the voucher that was sent to us less than 2 weeks ago, but this didn't seem to have any effect on her. Another desk agent came out and gave us the same story. She said we should contact our travel company to see what happened. I had to switch on my phone service to call iTravel2000 and when I spoke with the agent on duty, she told me that she has no record of any cancellation. She told me that she would contact the hotel and get back to me. After about 15 minutes or so, she called back to tell me she still didn't know what happened but I should ask if they have any rooms available, as she suspected that they overbooked and we got bumped. I went back to the front desk and asked if they had any rooms and now I was told that they had no rooms available at all. I asked them what we were supposed to do now and was told that I was now on my own to try to find a place to stay. There was zero attempt to help us in any way and the desk staff didn't even appear to be sympathetic to our situation. Our friends then stepped up and told the front desk that their accomodations allowed them to have up to 4 adults in their suite with no additional charges and that they wanted to put us on their registry. At first the desk staff were very hesitant to do this, but our friends persisted. We didn't really want to put them out as their unit was a one bedroom with a sofa pull-out bed and a second bathroom, but they insisted so we said we would do that for a night to see how it went. We were registered and allowed to be in their suite. I then contacted iTravel2000 again to let them know about this but asked that they try to find other accommodations for us. After quite a while, they called back saying that nearly every hotel was booked, but they had found a place 4km from our friends and we could have it starting tomorrow if we wanted it. We said that we would let them know tomorrow. We stayed the night on the very uncomfortable sofa bed with no privacy from our friends. They were great and still insisted that we stay. If we moved to the other resort, we would have to take a cab every day to get together and we would not be allowed to visit them in their suite nor would they likely be allowed into ours. As our booked suite had a kitchen we planned to eat breakfast in the unit, but the other resort had no kitchenette, so now we would be forced to buy the breakfast package at $20US per person, any unexpected expense. After much discussion, we decided to stay with our friends. Our plan was to be with them during this trip and this was the only way to do it. The sofa was horrible, but our friends were amazing and unbelievably accommodating. While the front desk staff was terrible, Aruba as a whole was great. Every other person that we met was friendly and helpful. The restaurants, bars and shops, although expensive, were great. The food was amazing, especially the fresh fish. The beaches were clean with no seaweed anywhere that we could see. We have used iTravel2000 for many years and the agent we spoke with was great. I highly recommend iTravel2000 and Aruba, but would give Divi 0 stars if it was possible to do so.

Divi Aruba Great Again
The Divi Aruba experience shined bright again! Great accommodations, great food, great pools and of course great beach. The internet connectivity on the beach was not working, but this issue was prevalent around the island.

Repeatedly Impressed
This is our third time at Divi Golf, and it has impressed us every time. Rooms are quiet and well maintained. The pools are wonderful, and rarely overwhelmed. The Infinity pool is the highlight. The beach is also one of the best available on the island, though you have to arrive early to get a palapa. The restaurants are also tremendous. We get the AI, and enjoy every meal no matter where we go. Particularly stand out is the Seabreeze breakfast, which is always high quality and the servers are wonderful - particularly Elizabeth and Antoinnette.
