  Please! Do Not Stay Here

  This is not a property you want to stay at. This is a 2 star property at best, not what it is advertised at. Majority of staff appear to not care about the guest experience. Check in was just okay. Room patio door did not lock. Moved rooms. That door did not lock either. Took maintenance 2 hours to attend and fix lock. Room had no working AC for three days. Multiple reports to the front desk. Again 1.5 hour response time for maintenance to arrive. Said it was fixed. It wasn’t. Actually checked out of a fully prepaid vacation to move to a different hotel. Bathroom drain backed up with sludge. No restock on the two beer in the mini fridge until day four. Food from buffet is inedible. Ate here only on the first night and first morning. Then bought food at Chedraui and ate off property. This is not a property to enjoy, only disappointment will come from staying here. Avoid at all cost!

  Wonderful people/service--Needs upgrades

  Location is amazing, 15 minutes from the airport and walking access to many stores, shops, pharmacies etc. Atmosphere is upbeat and fun on both the adult and family sides. We had the Crown Royal Suite as our room option and it is fantastic, great views, great service from the cleaners and re-stockers. Jacuzzi tub is very clean and comes with housecoat, slippers and bubbles. The noise levels were high, there were often men slamming on doors through out the night trying to get into their rooms without keys. I assume that they also only got one key upon arrival. We managed to get into all the dinner spots without booking which was really great. At the French: We ran into an allergy hiccup within our group where a member had presented their allergies in Spanish on a medical card and the dish came out with what the individual could not have on the plate. It was disheartening because we came to eat as a group and we had to leave someone out because their meal wasnt safe. The other concern was that the Mahi Mahi dish caused two people at our tables tongues and roof of mouth to go numb, so they were also unable to eat the dish. All in all the resort is alright, run down and needs upgrades and considerations around how long food sits out in the hot sun with birds swooping in everywhere. Not sure what the case was but 6 of our party were severely ill for at least one day. The value for what we paid - in high season - was not there. The people and service will really make your memories Golden. They are fantastic.

  Crown Paradise Golden – Mixed Experience with Great Potential

  We recently stayed at Crown Paradise Golden Puerto Vallarta and had a mixed experience overall. The resort is medium to small in size, which gives it a more relaxed and quieter atmosphere — something we appreciated, especially since it wasn’t very busy during our April stay. It was easy to find chairs by the pool or beach, although shaded areas are quite limited. There are cabanas available free of charge, but you need to reserve them early (around 6:00 AM) by placing a towel. Unfortunately, the property is in significant need of renovation. Several areas feel worn down and outdated. Our room, located in the main (older) section on the 4th floor, was small and not very inviting. Some lights were not working, and the air conditioning struggled to cool below 24–25°C. The ceiling fan above the bed felt unstable, noisy, and concerning. The bathroom was quite dated, heavily used, and not as clean as expected. On the positive side, the bed was comfortable and seemed fairly new, and the sheets were clean. Our balcony offered a beautiful view of the pool and ocean, with a small bistro set that made it enjoyable to sit outside. Housekeeping was provided once daily, and the minibar was well stocked with water, soda, and beer. Food was definitely a highlight of our stay. The resort offers three à la carte restaurants (international, Mediterranean, and Mexican), and all were excellent, with outstanding service. Guests also have access to restaurants at the neighboring sister resort. Reservations are required and must be made via their app (by scanning a QR code at the entrance), available only between 9:00 AM and noon. That said, during our stay, restaurants were rarely full, and it was often easy to get a table even without a reservation. There is also a buffet available for all meals, but the selection is quite limited. A continental breakfast is offered as well. Room service is available for an additional fee (around 70 pesos), though we did not try it. Bar options are somewhat limited. There is a lobby bar, a less accessible pool bar near the hot tub (not directly at the main pool), and a rooftop pool bar on the 7th floor of the Golden Tower, which offers a great view but has limited seating. The staff was very kind, warm, and helpful throughout our stay. However, language can sometimes be a barrier, as many employees are not fluent in English. The majority of guests appear to be local Mexican travelers. Evening entertainment takes place at “Nitro,” located just across the street from the resort. Shows feature a mix of themed choreography (Broadway-style, Mexican performances, etc.) and are enjoyable. Fun entertainment at the pool in the afternoon. Foam and all! Overall, while the resort has a relaxing atmosphere and excellent food, the cleanliness and overall physical condition were disappointing. That said, some returning guests mentioned that improvements are ongoing, and the resort definitely has strong potential if renovations continue.

  Great ambiance:)

  Animation was great! Foam, dancers and music were fun. Just wish is wasn’t mostly spanish music.
