    Pleasant stay in a convenient location

    We had a pleasant 4 day stay in this hotel which is situated in a convenient location for getting around in Edinburgh. Our king size room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was not quite what we expected; any decent bread was at a premium and the “bake off” rolls and flutes were anaemic and unappetising to say the least. There was an extremely poor selection of jams….one dish of strawberry jam and one of marmalade with no other possibilities. The bacon was hard as were the poached eggs. All in all disappointing but the coffee was extremely good! In contrast, the four evening meals we had were delicious. Fantastic quality and presentation along with kind and considerate service. A special thank you to Ben who took great care of us and was extremely understanding when we arrived just in the nick of time after a 12 hour coach trip. Thank you Ben! All in all a good experience ……

    A lovely experience

    Our group of 6 stayed here. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The breakfast was really lovely absolute nothing to complain about. I must mention Mike a member of the staff, he was so very polite and genuinely wanting to help make our stay comfortable. A big asset.
