Situated at the ocean's edge, Castle Kona Bali Kai offers a unique lodging experience in the sunniest spot on Hawaii's Big Island. You can pull up a lounge chair where white sand and black lava rock mingle among tide pools. Enjoy the shade of palm trees will you listen to the surf. If you are lucky, you might spot a Hawaiian green sea turtle grazing in the water or sleeping in the sand. The lava rocks shield the beach from waves and help to create small wading pools ideal for children.
Castle Kona Bali Kai has affordable, airy, and comfortable studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom oceanfront suites on the makai (ocean) side, as well as studio and one-bedroom units with ocean or mountain views on the mauka (mountain) side. Makai units are cooled with fans and the consistent ocean breeze, while most mauka units have air conditioning. Many of the units have a washer/dryer and there is an onsite laundromat for your convenience. Keep your kitchen stocked with fresh fruits and vegetables via the Island Grocery Delivery service, or from nearby Alii Garden's Marketplace. There is also a convenience store located just next door. If you are in the mood to cook, you will have access to multiple barbeques on the property, some with oceanfront views overlooking the tide pools.
On-site amenities include Miller's Surf Shop, the award winning Poke Shack (serving incredible fresh poke!), and a discount activities desk. The friendly front-desk staff can help you with your needs and give you the inside tips for "local" knowledge.

After hour check in procedure: Although the lobby will be gated, please proceed to the phone located right behind the lobby gate. This will then connect to the property’s answering service. They will then provide directions to the guests’ room and combination for the lock-box. The following morning, we ask that the guests proceed to the front desk to formally check-in.
