Great Food and Service with Private Feel
We came for our honeymoon. We did the temazcal ceremony and cacao ceremony with Diana. She was very knowledgeable on Mayan tradition and very respectful. The staff has been excellent and nature is all around. I cant explain how good the food is too. Would definitely recommend for a private, romantic trip. Thanks Blue Diamond!

Peaceful, Romantic Getaway
My boyfriend and I stayed here in a Cenote-Lagoon Junior Suite in the week of April 7-14th. To get to the point, overall we loved our stay and would highly consider returning in the future. Best Parts of Our Stay: 1. The Room - was stunning!! very spacious, GEORGEOUS bathroom with double showers and vanity, a huge walk in double closet, king size bed, balcony overlooking the lagoon. The room was top notch. 2. The Service - the service was spectacular, any time we needed something there was someone there ready to help. Everyone was extremely friendly and you can tell that customer experience is highly valued at this resort. Every staff member including maintenance workers would put a hand to their heart and say 'Hola!' every time they passed you and this was a very charming touch. You had full service whether you were at the main pool or down at the beach, drinks and food brought to you. Any time I needed something from the front desk I would call and they would respond promptly. We never waited more than 5 minutes for a golf cart to come collect us. *Staff Shoutouts: Fidel (Daytime Bartender) is a hoot. Not only friendly and funny he also provides fantastic service and it was a pleasure seeing him every day. ( Ricardo, his 'bar assistant was also amazing and deserves a shoutout as well) Mauricio ( Yoga Instructor) was a really good yoga teacher. We took 3 yoga classes in our 6 day stay and we loved all of them. He was so calming and attentive and even helped my boyfriend to achieve his first ever headstand lol. We do yoga regularly and found the yoga classes to be the perfect amount of relaxing and challenging. Dayana ( Activity Leader) Led us in both a Spanish class as well as a 'Cacao Tasting' activity. She is so incredibly friendly and has such a calming nature about her, it was always nice seeing her around the resort and we really enjoyed our activities with her. Jasir ( Concierge) was extremely helpful with answering all our questions ( and we always had lots of them). He was very warm and friendly and we enjoyed having him there if we ever needed assistance with anything, including booking activities, calling golf carts for us, getting our room pool filled, etc. OK, back to the review. 3. The Food - The food was a solid 4/5. We loved all the breakfast and lunch food and we often indulged in the ceviche and the tostadas ( our personal favourite) at the ceviche bar. The only times we didn't hands down love our food were a few of the entrees at dinner time. That's not to say that they were bad, but this resort had our bar set high with all the other food and so sometimes we felt a couple entrees were lacking in flavour. But overall we were extremely pleased with the food and also loved that you could order lunch food/food from the ceviche bar to your beach chair or pool chair - really nice touch. 4. The Wildlife!! - Something we were not expecting was the sheer amount of wildlife sightings we had daily on resort. Everything from spider monkeys to Mexican racoons and opossums, birds of all types, turtles, and crocodiles ( which sadly evaded us but it seemed every other couple got to see one!). It was very magical and added to the rainforest/nature vibe to see these animals daily and we loved it, especially the baby monkeys. 5. Live Entertainment - we were pleased to find out that there was live music during dinner service every night, and we also had two mini shows during dinner over our week long stay. Areas of Improvement/Future Guest Tips: 1. Booking Activities - We came in late in the evening on our first night which might have affected the lack of initial tour/info given to us first night. The next day we went to concierge to ask about actives and such and found out that you needed to reserve the activities - no problem! Except for the fact that a bunch of them were already booked up for the week! I get it, its a small resort and they have limited spots, I just wish we knew we needed to rush to concierge first thing to book. The resort offers an included in house snorkelling trip which is so awesome but we unfortunately never got to go on one as they were all booked. Same with classes like the sushi and ceviche class. So either more flexible class sizes or more emphasis on arrival to book right away would have been great. We did love all the activities we got to do, however. 2. Room Service - okay this is kind of small and silly but I noticed during room service our mini fridge and coffee station was not always filled up and I found myself calling for coffee pods regularly or grabbing sugar packets/water bottles from the bar to avoid calling since they weren't getting filled up. 3. Lack of 'Nightlife' - DISCLAIMER - this is not a complaint of mine and my boyfriend and I knew going into this Resort that it wasn't a party resort and we were quite happy with that. But if you're thinking of going here please do your research, we did hear some complaints that there 'wasn't enough to do' and while I can understand that I think that is a result of a lack of research. There is lots to do if your looking for little activities here and there, good food and relaxation, but don't come here looking for a 3am party at the bar, It gets pretty quiet after dinner. 4. Extra fees - do keep in mind that room service is not included, and comes at a $20USD charge for each call. Also, if you choose to check out late, depending on when you head out for your flight home, there is an extra fee (approx $20USD per hour) to stay on resort. We did opt for this and also got to keep our room until we left which was well worth it for us and we found it very convenient to have our room. 5. Construction - We didn't realize that there was construction next door to the resort when we arrived. Obviously, this is at no fault to Blue Diamond, but it is a bummer for them as they have such a serene, jungle like feel to the place, and even once construction ends, the large resort literally feet away from their property will change that a bit. At first we thought it would put a damper on our stay hearing the construction, but we honestly ended up forgetting about it, especially as they only worked weekdays and until around 3pm. Something to know about if you're booking though if this would really bother you. In Summary.... We will likely return to this resort once the construction is complete as we truly loved our stay here. Thank you Blue Diamond and your team for making our trip unforgettable.

Monkeying around
We have been to Cancun/Tulum/Playa many times but have never stayed in the jungle area- it was such an amazing experience with coming within feet of monkeys, coati and other cute animals.
