Overall, this stay was disappointing compared to expectations. There was ongoing loud construction during our visit, and one of the buffets and large pools was closed, making the remaining pool areas very crowded. It was difficult to find pool chairs, and it felt frustrating to be paying full price while receiving fewer amenities. The room was a highlight—spacious, clean, and comfortable. The buffet was just okay, but the à la carte restaurants were excellent and definitely the best part of the dining experience. Additionally, our travel experience with WestJet was very poor, with the modified seating that felt extremely tight and uncomfortable. I would think twice before booking through WestJet Vacations again. Overall, the resort has potential, but construction, crowding, and reduced amenities made it feel like poor value for the price.

Travelled April4-11, 2026 I would first like to start by saying I am shocked at all the negative reviews of this resort. I research where I am travelling to and read the reviews on trip advisor. We travelled as a group for a birthday celebration. Yes it’s a huge resort but if you research there should be no surprises! The golf carts are numerous and frequent!! Check in - took less than 10 mins!! And this was the same for our entire party. Room- awesome!! Our maid was amazing and our bar fridge was stocked daily! Our AC did leak onto the floor 2 days in a row and I only mention this because maintenance was there within 5 mins each time!! And we’re amazing with the cleanup. Love the armband doubling as our room access key (scan at door). Food- variety, learn where the food is!!! The truck was amazing, buffets were clean and had variety. Connect with Roberto!!!! He was awesome, held a table for us each night (11 people) remembered our orders!!! For drinks along with Gidilaty! Alacarts- We pre-booked 2, and yes the website tells you to prebook !!! If you wait till you get there they will be booked. The Nomad and Pools- yes busy!!! And yes people play the towel game, but what resort doesn’t! Get up your on vacation and reserve a chair! But if you do please use it. Santa at the pool bar was a delight to deal with. Lobby bar- always friendly Eddie and Juan!!! Bar tenders. Beach- beautiful, blue gorgeous sand you can walk for miles. It was the busiest beach I have been to, but enjoyed. No one expected a tip!!! If you engage with the staff and actually talk to them they are Luvly and have so many stories and really want to make your stay enjoyable.

the check in was fast cause few arrivals. buffet lobby 1 is chaotic and too many people rude. beach crowded like sardines. room was nice and clean. staff was nice but beach bar less. train to go around grounds is not accomodate with children in arms very high step. los olas food not hot except when u arrive early get eggs prepared for breakfast. we could not book restaurants were fully booked very disapointed. the pool water not clear maybe need chlorine. toddler got a very bad virus high fever and spots very worried but got home to see doctor. recommend hotel if u like a lot of people.

Please don’t waste your money! I was there for a destination wedding which was held at Jellyfish Restaurant about half hour drive away. Only great part of the trip. But this Bahia was so depressing, staff are not friendly at all, meal times were chaos, bars were chaos, beach packed, lots of rude people. Pools were ok because there are so many of them lol. Just go somewhere else!

Bit by a raccoon. This resort is not good.
