  Great hotel

  Had a great stay here the buffets are good, the rooms are nice and big the beach was beautiful and well kept. Our cleaning lady Ignacia was very good and kept the room clean I also want to mention Carolina too who was good too!

  Great staff and sweet, friendly kitties

  Everything was good. There are a number of cats. They are so sweet and friendly. We brought cat food, but sadly, not enough. I wish the hotel took care of them - they don’t even have fresh water. These sweet kitties should be cared for, they are friendly, and beautiful animals. One of the staff here told me that the hotel “gets rid of them”. I sincerely hope that is not true. If you love cars and are coming to this resort, please consider bringing some cat food for them. 🩷

  Wonderful Vacation at Aquamarine!

  We just came back from another amazing trip to Aquamarine. We have been between Aquamarine and Ambar many times in the past. We always liked the food at Aquamarine, but we noticed many improvements this time in both buffet as well as the grill around the pool. Many options on where to eat. The staff were amazing as always. The resort is very clean in lobby and hallways, etc. Our room was cleaned and stocked daily. Shout out to the cleaners. The entertainment at the pool was fun and engaging as always. Bartenders and servers were great, and we never had to wait for a drink. Washrooms beside the beach and pool were always clean while we were there. We ate at MEAT and the meal and drinks were great. We ate at Nikkei Mashua and there were some changes to the menu and no signature drinks this time, but it was very good. We ate at Rodizio and the food was great. If you do not like cats or have a fear of cats, you may want to go somewhere else. There are a lot of cats wandering around. I thought they were cute and they were not in any way bothering us on our trip but thought I would mention for someone who may not feel the same way. Trolleys to the beach or anywhere around the resort were plentiful and the drivers were amazing. Always a clean towel available at the exchange hut. Check in and out was fast. The Bahia app works perfectly while at the resort for booking a la carte and looking for what entertainment is happening that day, etc. Never an issue with the free wifi throughout the resort. My only critique would be adding a few more umbrellas around the the pool. They have added a lot more loungers so finding a seat was not an issue, but it gets really hot at the pool and a few more umbrellas would be perfect.

  Amazing week at Aquamarine

  We just returned from a week at Aquamarine.  This was our second trip, as part of a group of six.  We were happy to see that Isaac was still part of the entertainment crew.  He has a wonderful way of making everyone feel special.  We added some new favourites, Lisianna at the pool, gave us fantastic service.  She is so cheerful and hard working. I was very impressed.  All the staff are friendly and welcoming.  I love it when the Domincans say "welcome home" to us Punta Canadians. A few other highlights were Vianellis (I hope I spelled that right) from the entertainment staff, Ingris from Flamboyan, and German from the buffet. Thank you all for a wonderful week.

  Not worth the money

  I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience needs to be shared. We stayed at Aquamarine Resort expecting a high-end, well-maintained property, but what we got was far from it. We specifically booked a room with two beds, assuming—based on how the resort presents itself—that we’d be placed in one of the renovated villas. Instead, we were assigned to Villa 71/72, which are clearly outdated and not up to the standard you’d expect for the price. It honestly felt misleading. If some villas are not renovated, that should be clearly disclosed before booking—not something guests find out after they arrive. To make matters worse, when we raised the issue, the customer service was extremely disappointing. The representative we spoke with was rude and dismissive, which only added to the frustration. For a resort that markets itself as luxury, this experience felt like a bait-and-switch. I would strongly recommend that future guests double-check exactly what room they are getting—and that management seriously addresses both the condition of these villas and the way guests are treated. Very disappointing overall.
