  Wonderful

  Perfect Stay everything is wonderful Mary ann is helpful food is réally good

  Disappointed

  We stayed at Marriott Athens during Christmas week. As a Lifetime Platinum member, I was disappointed not to receive any upgrade. Unfortunately, we were given a very small room, to the point where it was not even possible to properly open our suitcases, which significantly impacted our comfort. The Executive Lounge itself is good, offering decent options, but it was very busy on many occasions, making it difficult to fully enjoy the experience. The location is another drawback, as it is quite far from the city centre, meaning a taxi is required to get around. Breakfast was not good at all. Although options were available, the overall quality and organisation were lacking, and it definitely needs more attention and improvement to meet the standards expected from a Marriott property. Overall, while there are some positive aspects, the experience did not meet expectations, particularly in terms of room size, elite recognition, and breakfast quality.

  Best thing about this hotel is the people who work there

  Mary Ann in the bar and restaurant was the highlight of my stay in the ATHENS MARRIOTT Bonvoy hotel. She was so welcoming, informative and friendly. We got to celebrate a little of the Greek Easter with Mary Ann giving us background on the traditions and even recommendations for what to do that day when almost everything is closed. I could see here moving up further in management of the hotel, she gets it. Also two women who worked in the Executive Lounge and restaurant, one was Errika and the other was a tall blonde who served us dinner and talked about the local traditions. The lady who helped keep our room clean was wonderful, and the hosts at the restaurant. Best, Goldie

  Enjoyable stay

  Second visit to this property and it didn't disappoint. Loved our stay so much that we added another three nights. The staff are all very attentive and professional. Everyone was clearly well-trained and committed to the experience of their guests. I will start my detailed review in an unlikely place: Housekeeping. The entire team was incredibly impressive and made a major difference to our enjoyment. Every person we encountered were friendly and helpful. Special thanks and recognition to Costadina and Silva. The Executive lounge is also excellent. Their offerings in the evening were varied and tasty. They even have draft beer. The staff were very active and engaged. They made a big difference. Kudos to Erikka and Mairy. They are both wonderful people. The hotel is lucky to have them. The team in the breakfast room were equally amazing. True professionals. Thanks to Marientina, Nikos and Irene for their amazing service. The hotel is surrounded by really good restaurants which we visited after appetizers in the lounge. There was also a Lidl close by to buy other things we needed. There is a park next door that is worth a visit...use the subway next to the hotel to get there in minutes. Possible improvements? The breakfast spread is good but it became boring after 7 days though! I would have liked to see more variety. The sauna in the gym has to be turned on in reception...this is annoying and unnecessary. The pool was closed during our stay...why? The standard red wine in the club lounge was just awful (this should be an easy fix).

  Nice Athens Hotel

  The Athens Marriott is a very reasonably priced hotel with very good amenities for any type of traveler. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I want to shout out to Alfonso on the front desk and Mary Ann in the breakfast restaurant for their exceptional service. The hotel is located near the coast, but has free hourly round trip shuttle to the city center from 10 am to 5 pm. A very good value for your travel funds.
